12/03/07 - 2007 PLAYER OF THE YEAR: For his production and unwavering energy through a tough season, Trevor Laws was Notre Dame's best player from start to finish. Laws finished with 112 tackles, one behind Steve Niehaus (1975) for the most ever in a season by a Notre Dame lineman. Laws had four sacks and blocked three kicks.
11/24/07 - Senior DE Trevor Laws enters his final game with 105 tackles, the second most ever for a Notre Dame defensive lineman. Only Steve Niehaus (113 in 1975) had more. "It just seems every time we turn on the tape that no matter what they're doing, whether they're trying to cut him or double him or reach him, he can make plays regardless," senior S Tom Zbikowski said of Laws. "It just seems like he can't be blocked."
11/02/07 - DE Trevor Laws, the team leader with 67 tackles, will have to assignment-sound against Navy, focusing on keeping QB Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada from getting outside. Laws won't have much chance to make a sack, although he did have one against the Midshipmen last season.
10/18/07 - Senior DE Trevor Laws, who has been the team's best player this season, will be going against a banged-up USC offensive line. Laws has twice posted at least 10 tackles this season and has blocked two kicks.

"Too many big plays, couldn't stop the run when we needed to sometimes," he said. "There's a lot that we could've done that we didn't do. It was definitely not good enough." Laws has two blocked kicks this season and five for his career.
