Here’s the definitive timeline

Jerry couldn’t wait to hire Eberflus after McCarthy was fired. Everyone knows that was Jerry’s decision. It would have happened in 2017 if Zimmer wasn’t entrenched at the time

It took Schottenheimer exactly six weeks to make up his mind on Eberflus.

After the Panthers game, Schottenheimer clipped Eberflus’ wings and started attending the defense position group meetings, something that head coaches rarely do.



He then pretty much “chopped” his “wings” off in December after the Vikings game. The link below was the play where it became evident Flus was done.



The next day Flus was banished from the sidelines.



A month later, he was fired.



Schottenheimer’s handling of Eberflus last year was probably the most obvious defiance of Jerry by a head coach since Parcells’ passive aggressive response to The Player being signed.

Honestly, you would probably have to go all the way back to Jimmy to see something like it.
