He had the best 3-cone and SS of the LBs. His 3-cone was better than all but 1 DB.

He's not big and his arm length is on the short side, but he might be interesting as a late round pick.

His game footage looks better than the NFLDS write-up.

Really like him....underated player. I think he gets the "white linebacker" stereotype. You read scouting reports and it questions his athleticism and it turns out he's one hell of an athlete. College production was very good too. I'd definitely take a shot on him in the 4th/5th range.

Looks like a good all around player.

Diagnoses plays quickly, sure tackler, and doesn't look like Bradie James in space.

How does he compare to Hitchens? If he does at all.

Really like this guy. Was a bullet in his college tapes.

Kansas ILB Ben Heeney 6.68 – A slightly undersized thumper with a big motor, the 6-foot, 231-pounder did well enough in Indy when it came to speed drills (like the 3-cone, shuttle and 40-yard dash) in his positional grouping to garner some post-combine buzz. He led the Big 12 in solo tackles as a senior with 88, and had 35 tackles for a loss in his three-plus years as a regular. While there are reported drawbacks to his game (namely in coverage), the size/speed combo can’t be overlooked.

Rather than creating a new thread about him, I'll just bump this one.

I really hope he's there in the fourth. I understand we've already spent money on LBs this offseason, but I'd certainly bring him in. Both him and Hitchens may not have the exact measurables you want in linebackers, but they play like the ideal size. He's athletic as hell, had great college production, but needs a little bit of work in pass coverage (Every rookie has a flaw somewhere).

I think it's a no brainer taking him in the 4th. If he's not there, I'd hope Chaz Green is and we draft him to develop behind Free.

He reminds me of Chris Borland a year ago. Extremely productive but downgraded for various reasons. He's going to be a starting MLB in this league.

I can see that. He reminds me of A.J. Klein from the Panthers, who was a very similar player at Iowa State. Good football player, would not have a problem if the Cowboys drafted him.

If they like him then they should bring him on for a visit, don't want a Borland situation because our Lbs are going to be beat up.
