How did he do last night? I was so excited and focused on Ware that everything else is pretty much blank.....

Rookie to watch: Kevin Burnett has been one of the most consistently impressive linebackers, much less rookies, in camp. Parcells has given him praise throughout, noting Burnett’s versatility. And though Parcells removed Burnett from the team’s nickel package for the time being, Parcells said the rookie would get plenty of opportunities to play. Right now he’s listed as Al Singleton’s backup on the strong side, and many feel Burnett is a better fit at that spot than Singleton.

I thought he played well, provided some pressure at times. He is a much better athlete then Al and once he learns his job, he should be starting...

We need more weapons then Just Ware from the LBers...
They need to let James go too at times as he can also overpower RB's...

I thought he was super....he ran down a RB from the backside for darn near no gain...was very active...

He brings an energy level that very few have out on that field.

Beriault...Burnett...Ware...Thorton...are ALL high energy types.

I've been very happy with what I've seen from Burnett...loved the pick from day one.

He showed good range last night and pressured the QB. He was around the ball on special teams and defense. He would've sacked the QB on one occasion, but the lineman grabbed the back of his jersey. No call I might add.

I saw that same play. It was impossible to miss. That ticked me off.

Awesome rush on that play, but Wallace is super quick and got away from him while the OL did tug on his jersey from behind. Kid looks like a real player, just give him some time.

The play where he was rushing the QB and jumped when the ball was thrown, man he looked like a basketball player he was so high off the ground.

He has some serious hops and like was said he has a contagious enthusiasm, I can see where his reputation as a team leader comes from......

Saw that too. Burnett was gonna crush the QB on that play. Jumped off the couch and screamed "Where's the hold!". Then remembered it's only a preseason game. Man, I need to get a grip.

Yep...great play....last year, if one of our midget LB's rushed the QB...they'd sorta stop at the RB...or OLineman...not this guy.

That LB corp, if Thornton wasn't a mirage last night, could be special.

Good one Bull Frog, I forgot about his sack he should have had when he was being held...
He looks like he will be a play maker!

On the play where the OL grabbed the back of his jersey... Burnett looked like he was shot out of a cannon. His quickness is appaling. To me, he looked like the most athletic player on the field. He just moves so fast and he can jump through the rafters.

He'll be starting soon and if he shows a knack for getting through the trash at the line of scrimmage and getting to the QB, we'll have a star on our hands.
