at its hottest its well over 100 here its urban as all heck so the wind doesnt help all that much, I lived here 20 years, lived in san antonio for 5.

I don't think laredo is hot, 104 in laredo feels cooler to me than 100 in dallas. I drove a jeep with no top every summer for 10 years now so I am all too familiar with the heat here.

but to each his own, spend an entire summer in dallas then you may change your mind.

I saw I wanna say 120 in vegas now that was hot.

Completely full of ****. No need for proof to sway your opinion.

Wait a minute... it's not an opinion. Laredo is hotter, and that's a fact.

By the way, my ex gf lived in Dallas. I did spend a summer up there. One of the nicest summers I've ever experienced.

Carp looks cool with his hair. Knowing Bill though, if he allows him to grow the 'do, he'll probably find him a derogatory nickname like Rapunzel. :D

And you just have to have your Dallas Cowboys looking good, huh?

It's a helluva lot hotter here in Laredo then it is in Dallas and I had long hair for a long time. If I can handle here, he can handle up there.

It's his hair. He can do whatever the hell he wants to do with it and I don't give a rat's *** how it makes him look.

For what it's worth, (which isn't much I know), yes I do like for the Boys to look good. But, hey it's just my opinion. Calm down. You are taking this thread way too serious! You are entitled to your opinion.

I think it makes him look like an ugly girl and you think it makes him look cool.

No problem.

Where did I say that? I said I don't give a rat's *** what it makes him look like. I never said he looked cool.

Up here near DC we have had warmer weather for a few weeks

might just be all the paved surfaces vs. your farms ;)

If Bobby puts his hair in a ponytail in the back, he'll be fine. It'll stay out of his eyes and he can keep it as long as he wants.

I've worked in Laredo a lot during the summer. I lived in Corpus Christi and supervised a group of field technicians in an area that included Laredo and was out there three or four times a month. It was hotter temperature wise in Laredo than in Corpus by a long shot and yet I didn't feel it nearly as much because in the dog days of summer the heat / humidity combo (the Heat Index) in CC was higher and was a lot more oppressive. There is somewhat the same situation with Dallas...there is more humidity here than in Laredo and it makes the "heat index" higher. In my life I have worked all over this State and the truth be told in the middle of summer ANYWHERE in TEXAS it is going to be HOT as HELL...especially for an Ohio boy it will be miserable here in Dallas.

BTW the hottest situation I have ever been was in Maypearl, Texas about 30 miles south of Dallas. IN the summer of 1980 I was on a job there and for the entire two weeks I was there it never got below 90 degrees even in the middle of the night and every day was over 115. That right there is HOT I don't care who ya are.

Ever been down here? Might want to actually get a clue before speaking. The D/FW Metroplex is a large sprawling metropolitan area with an extensive freeway system, paved and concrete parking lots, and expansive warehousing, manufacturing and office complexes. I've been to DC...you've got nothing on us for urban sprawl.

Just as an example; they just released plans for a super-loop that will encompass the entire D/FW Metroplex. It will encircle an area larger than the state of Massachusetts. By the time it is completed the Metroplex will have grown well beyond it's boundaries. We got you're urban sprawl alright.

Guess what? I live in Schertz, TX. It is 11:49 and I just woke up because it is DAMN HOT! Why? My dangum AC stopped working for some reason and I cannot sleep......sweeting like a big dog and I have to be at work at 6 pm. I went to bed at 10 pm and it was working fine.

What does this have too do with Carpenter long hair? He77, I really don't know!

Hot, tired, sad and sweety in Schertz......

Well Schertz and the entire San Antonio area is another place where it gets hot as hell in the summer. I lived in San Antonio for 8 years on the north side of town not far from Schertz. Sorry to hear about the AC unit...I went through that this year too, about 3 weeks ago when it was over 100 here in Dallas. I got the damn thing fixed and the weather cooled back off...go figure. ;)

No, I don't see it at all. That's not Parcells at all. There have been guys on the team with long hair before. The kick thou is TC. It's all well and good to sport the long hair up north but when the dog days of summer start beaten that you know what, that QBall look starts getting real appealing.

Having said all that, BP aint gonna make anybody cut there hair. He's just not gonna cut any slack on account of the do getting in the way.

very true, remember Bill's comments in TC a year or 2 ago? he was joking about the baggy pants, and how he can't keep up with the trend, BIll doesn't care about what you wear, how you look, he just cares about how you practice and play on gameday

71 degrees? OMFG. That's like winter time around here!

I hate you too.

The heat index was higher in Laredo today then it was in Dallas. Heat index isn't dependant on humidity. It was more humid in Dallas today, yet the HI was higher here.

It is currently 1 AM and it's 91 degrees in Laredo ("feels like" 102).

It's 83 in Dallas ("feels like" 88).

One other reason it "feels" a lot hotter in Laredo is cuz we rarely get rain. And when it does rain, it almost never lasts more then 1 or 2 hours (tops. Anything over 20 minutes is extremely rare).

I lived up near Dallas for over a year. The weather was great. Even when it hit 100 (rarely) it at least didn't feel like your skin was being cooked if you stayed out in the sun for more then 5 minutes.

A few years ago I crossed the bridge into mexico (when it was still somewhat safe to do so) to drop a friend off at the bus station. On the way back the traffic was backed up on the bridge. The thermometer in my truck read 132 degrees. I had my AC on full blast and it was still hot. That was a crappy *** day.

There are no farms in my area. It would be stupid to put a farm in a place where you don't get much rain.

Guess what? I live in Schertz, TX.

I've been there. Had a friend that lived up there. It's really nice around there (not referring to the temperature). You know a guy named Jim Russell? Played football at Sul Ross?

About your AC, you might want to check the breaker. If it's in the middle, switch it off then back on again.

A friend of mine (graduated with me in Laredo) lived in SA for about 9 years. He hated coming back to Laredo cuz of the heat.

The last 3-5 years have been pretty mild by laredo standards. One year, about 10 years ago or so, it got over 100 here 19 days in a row (might of actually been more then that).

You Dallas boys don't know what you're talking about. WHen I played ball up there there was always someone on the team complaining aobut the heat. My roomates and I (all from Laredo) loved it up there. Only problem was we were always getting sun burned cuz we were actually able to stay out in the sun longer then we would in Laredo. Farm tans all the time. :D
