LB Christian Harris

Depending on where he grades out in the combine, I think he may not be a bad idea for the 1st if we trade back.

Ehh…not sure I’d take him bottom of the 1st.

Is consider him in the 2nd.

I'd love to have Channing Tindall. Has all the tools, and will likely drop in the draft.

He's in the second round mix. I think there's a few starting-quality LB'ers in the 2/3 area and Harris is the best of that group.

I actually think the second round has a lot of quality talent in it, moreso than most years. If the board is bare at #24, I wouldn't hesitate to move back and try and pick up some more picks.

Harris with a 4.44 forty.

But folks are programmed to believe Dean is the better player.

I'd take Dwan at 24 and Harris at 56 but if Lloyd fell to 24 he would be the pick

Absolutely fantastic player. I wouldn’t be upset at all if Dean and Davis and Linder are all gone and we trade back some and take Harris.

After the way the LB’s ran yesterday, there is no way I would take 1 in the first round. Dean is a really good prospect, but I don’t see a lot of separation between him and the next tier. I remember Dane saying the group was very deep, but I didn’t see it. After yesterday, I see what he was talking about. Anderson, Harris, Muma, Clark, Asamoah, Chenal, Rodriguez, Smith,Tindall, Walker., I think the all ran in the 4.4 and 4.6 range. If we want want even in round 3, there will be some quality still on the board.

I’m really intrigued by Troy Anderson and would be tempted to use a 3rd/4th pick on him. His best football is ahead of him. They used him as QB and RB at Montana St. (or wherever he went to school) before switching him to LB. He then proceeded to put up a really productive season.

He made some coin yesterday. I think someone is going to fall in love with his size, speed and potential. I think he could go as high as round 2.

Yeah, there’s a lot to like about him. If you watch his tape he shows some image instincts playing the position and I like the aggression and physicality he plays with.

Depends on who goes before him and what round he's available.

Dallas got a linebacker last year, can't or at least shouldn't (in most cases) draft two of the same position two years in a row, a la the Lions with their 2 straight wrs years ago.

Dallas needs linemen first and foremost, one OL and one DL (if they're comparable in skill to the linebacker), after that I'd be ok with Harris, but very unlikely he'd be available at 88.....

Feel free to reference any actual verifiable numbers.

Funny how a guy that “lacks instincts” somehow managed to start for Alabama since he was a freshman and put up twice as many TFL as Dean who only came on last season.

Just do a basic search on his PFF profile, even if you don’t like they’re grades they have all kind of good draft data/info available including what I shared.

TFLs are awesome…but in todays NFL you need dudes that also have the instincts and awareness to cover.

Yeah, I’m very dubious of PFF’s grades and I’d say that about any player whether the particular metric reflected good or bad.

To think a linebacker is somehow responsible for giving up 1,000 yards is hard to believe. Harris is also a former safety so I think things get parroted that aren’t actually true. I form my own opinions about players by watching them but I’ve also read things that highlighted his coverage skills.

Nakobe Dean was on nobody’s radar in 2020 so it’s curious to me when I hear people say “oh, he’s got better instincts.”

I saw that PFF stat of giving up a 1,000 yards and I ain’t buying it. I didn’t see issues to that extent this year, and he seemed to operate pretty well in coverage. IMO I would take Harris in the 2nd round before I take Dean in round 1. Watching the LB’s yesterday, I just don’t see a lot of separation between Dean and the next group.
