Wait a minute......are you guys being serious that he got fined more than Alonso's hit?

NFL is deeming Alonso's egregious shot as a "Late Hit" under the fine regulations, instead of "Roughing The Passer" like Wilson.

I believe in the anti cowboys conspiricy as much as the next guy but Alonso never hit Flacko with his helmet. Probably the difference in fines

Yeah but Alonso looked to actually try and hurt Flacco. And if I'm not mistaken this isn't the first time.

Anyone have any footage of the play? I honestly do not recall it.

Actually there is no evidence that Wilson ever hit Cousins, in fact he didn’t even play in the game and has evidence of being in another state at the time of the crime. However, Cousins’ wife accused Wilson of hitting her husband, even though later she told a friend that she had made the entire thing up cuz she didn’t like the name Damien.
In response, Goodell issues immediate punishment based on the rulings of the same jury used to convict Alice in Wonderland that led to the beheading sentence given to Alice.

No worse than the no call head shot to Prescott. Plus this was in the act of throwing and he was pushed forward from the hit in the back.

Alonso was fined but half the amount Wilson was fined.
The reason it seems out of line is that "roughing the passer" draws the $18,231 Wilson got. Kiko Alonso's fine was deemed "striking/kicking/kneeing" and that has $9,115 attached to it for a first offense.

Since that link comes directly from the NFL communications page, prove it.
BOOM

Under Article 46 of the NFL collective bargaining agreement, a player has the right to appeal that a fine is excessive when compared to the player's expected earnings. A fine can be reduced if it exceeds 25 percent of one week of a player's salary for a first offense and 50 percent of one of week of a player's salary for a second offense. A player can argue on appeal that the circumstances don't warrant receiving a fine above the amount stated in the schedule of fines.
