Overshown might be the key to this defense. I think he is the missing piece. I hate to put that type of pressure on this kid.

Given his injuries, yeah, I'm with you. But if he can come back at even 85% of what he flashed last season he'll be much welcomed.

I made some snap judgments in the first half about the defense. The second half they were much better.

Still not an ounce of a pass rush though.

Yes, the pass rush is concerning.

Love Overshown but he's like Sean Lee injury prone. Sucks i hope he stays healthy the rest of his career because he seems like a good person.

Here is my thing.

Our defense did everything well except stop Hurts from running.

Hurts running was what beat us.

Some of it was just pure stupidity by the defensive coordinator.

Funny thing is, probably 14 of his 15 runs started out as passing plays. Our DB coverage was pretty darn good. The D Line even moved Hurts off his mark a lot. There's just not much anyone can do against a great athlete on a busted play.
