LB is our biggest need

I agree but starting to think if Ridley is there, we go LB in 2 or 3. the draft is deeper at LB than WR, and the round 2 guys are likely to be gone by 50 (sutton, kirk, maybe chark and miller)

Yeah, I'm starting to feel the same also. I'm an O-line guy, but we really need to shore up our LB corp.

I agree with you as well although I would have G and maybe S just slightly below LB specifically MLB.

We need 4 starters minimum MLB, 1T-DT, FS & LG and a guy at WR to add to the mix.

I think the perfect scenario is a slight trade down from 19 and pick up an extra 3. and then use all the other extra picks to move up to grab targeted players.

Yeah unless we're moving Collins back and starting Flemming then LB is our greatest need. If Collins stays put(he should) then we have an absolute gaping hole at LG with no starter even on the roster. At least at LB we can field someone right now even if they're injury prone.

LB/LG are the biggest needs we have, I personally wouldn't grab a receiver until the 3rd+ but what do I know? As long as we don't go WR at 19 I am pretty sure I'll be alright...

LB is a massive need -- not just 1 guy but we really need 2-3 -- but I think we're also unclear how the team values LB.

If they view the every down LBs to be Sean Lee and Jaylon Smith, then maybe LB isn't a RD1 position. They may view the position as fillable with guys from RD2 through RD4. We're here sweating over Rashaan Evans and Leighton Vander Esch and maybe the team thinks their scheme would be just fine with Christian Sam, Josey Jewell, Jason Cabinda, etc. Is a superstar necessary?

Or they may be thinking of moving Sean Lee back inside and grabbing Roquan Smith or another OLB.

Or they may have an agreement in principle with Bowman that's contingent on the day 1 selection. If they take a LB in RD1, then there's no deal. If they take another position, they sign Bowman during or shortly after the draft.

But as others have said, LG (or RT) is pretty close. WR, DT, S is survivable with current roster. LG/RT is unclear. LB is critical.

Need LVE to help Jaylon and Sean. Then bring in Kyzir White who is SS/LB hybrid that can help in case there is run play for Sean and Jaylon or depending on defensive scheme.

Round 1. LVE
Round 2. Anthony Miller/DJ Chark
Round 3. Tarvarious Moore

Would be my dream first 3 picks.

I think they will move Collins back to LG out of necessity this year and start Fleming at RT. Just too many holes to fill.

I agree LB is up there on the needs radar, but I'm fine if we only draft 1 this year. Ideally we go after a MIKE prospect.

It's our biggest need in terms of quantity but it's not necessarily a starting position so I'm okay with it being addressed in the 3-4th round. Particularly if we draft 2-3 of them and see who looks the best in pre-season. We only need one guard and I'm not as comfortable with a 3rd or 4th round OG if he's expected to be a walk up starter.

Not left guard, or WR. This will be the goal IMO. To find two or three. Or trade up for one. They have no choice.

I don't know that it would have to be in the 1st, although I would be more than fine with that.
But no matter how the first two rounds fall, I feel they must draft a minimum of two in the first 4 rounds, and hopefully one of those in rounds 1-3.

What Dan said....100%

I think you're absolutely right about finding "two or three." They need several guys to restock the position.

But taking one in the first round or "trading up?" I completely disagree.

The guy you draft isn't playing enough snaps to justify it. Sean Lee isn't sitting and neither is Jaylon Smith. And there's a limited number of snaps where you're playing your 3-linebacker base defense.

I agree about adding numbers at the position, but disagree about adding a number one there. And certainly not trading up.

Great summation. This is exactly what I think about it too.

This team does not have a starting left guard right now. If you take a rookie in the first round, he's starting there, period.

You can't say the same for a linebacker. Certainly he's not playing nearly the same amount.

It is totally. I think we're looking MLB first, and if none of Evans, Smith, or LVE are there, we start thinking WR, OG/OT, or S.

Agree for the most part, but I do think teams will run it right at us if we don't get DTs or a MIKE that can impact the run game.

Who do you feel better about getting significant snaps this year...Joe Thomas or Marcus Martin?
