I think folks need to cool it with the oversimplified “Darius Leonard plays linebacker at 215 lbs...” take.

Leonard plays linebacker. He played linebacker at South Carolina State.

JOK’s true position was really undefined at Notre Dame, so once you get past the “is he too light” talk, you still have to contend if he can even take on the duties of a defined linebacking position such as WLB?

I think he has talent but I’m more skeptical of how he transitions to the NFL more so than I am his weight. I think taking him at #10 would a bit rich.

Jabrill Peppers was used similarly at Michigan as an extra pass rusher and run blitz specialist and was also 5’-11” 215 lbs coming out. Folks may not remember but there was talk of whether he could bulk up to play linebacker in the NFL. He’s evolved into a decent NFL starter for the Giants.

I like the kid, it's obvious he can play and make plays. However, I just don't see him as LB in the NFL. That's not a knock on him, I just don't think he fits best as a full time LB.
To me he's a more of a SS. A hybrid SS/LB really. Which, I think, is a valuable piece in today's NFL.
If you draft him, you play him close to the line, as a SS. You let him read/react to the play. Attacking the run or dropping off, in mostly underneath coverage.
Would he fit the cover 3 zone scheme? IJDK
I'd pass at 10, but would take him later, given the chance.
