LB situation

The lb core is the biggest question for me. I dont know any of these guys besides clark and overshown (I loved that pick). But hes going to miss most if not all of the season. heard liufau was looking pretty good towards the end of last season.

Barron has been out about a week with an undisclosed injury. Did not play vs. the Rams.
Yes I thought he might have been dinged . Can’t make the team from trainers room. Clark his Syracuse teammate got in at safety against LA .

Mukuamu another pre season pick . Be shocked if he’s not the starting nickel against Philly . Time for him to stay on the field .

2 years, 2 major injuries. No one should be counting on anything from Overshown until he proves otherwise. Our LB position is hardly elite, but considering our CB & DT positions are among the NFL's worst, it's way down the list of things to be concerned about.

i feel better about this position group than almost any other on that side of the ball.
DE and S as well.

At best we get Overshown for a third of a season; at best

Until then Marist is arguably the key to the LB group which is a load for a second year player in a new D.

Now of course this depends on what they do with Micah

Liufau looks like a keeper. I will give credit to Zimmer on that one... he was universally rated as a Day 3 guy on the internet scouting big boards, but Zimmer liked what he showed between the ears.

Overshown is a legit game changer when healthy, like I think he has All-Pro level ability. Of course, health is the question mark.

Sanborn's about where he needs to be, as a borderline backup/starter. Overshown's health means that we need a good backup like him, and we have one.

Shemar James is another coaching staff favorite who's been putting nothing but good reps together in preseason and camp.

IMO, Murray is a writeoff. He's seen starter snaps for five years in the league now, and has been nothing but terrible. Dude just doesn't have it. I wouldn't be surprised if James is a better NFL player even right now.

Overall, I really like this group. We have a playmaker, two workmen, and a young bet placed.
I think could wind a a starter at some point this year

I think Liufau could be similar to what Overshown was last year. Splash player that still needs more rounded growth. I think thats the step he takes this year

This is sarcasm right?

LBs are only as good as the DTs in front of them.

And last I checked....
Nope not sarcasm at all.

To a degree you're right but doesn't diminish the skill level of the LB as a whole.

Say Dinouci is QB does that mean CD or Pickens suck?

May it never be!

The LB is least of my worries. DT and CB are my biggest concerns as we've discussed before.
