I don't know what Eberflus and the LB Coach were trying to prove, but it looked like they needed more speed and more range in coverage at LB. Looked like they needed to play Liaufa more, but hey I'm not the coach. The number do tell a story tho, Marist reached close to the same production in a fraction of the plays.

Judging by this game. Liufau should be the mike. Sanborn should be the sam if anything because of his lack of speed. Murray probably a hair over Clark at will until Overshown comes back or if the rookie progresses.

Was thinking the same.

My guess is they wanted to go with the more experienced players in that spot.

It’ll change soon. We’ve seen this before. The team desperately needs a player that’s injured (Overshown) and the replacement is a severe dropoff in talent.

It’s almost as if they figure they will never encounter injuries or have a draft pick not pan out.

Eberflus had the whole preseason to play his starting LBs, yet refused. The Regular Season is not the time to be trying out your LBs in order to decide the best starting 3 while costing the team games. Piss poor coaching decision.

By they way, way blitzing a none physically corner like Diggs is an oxymoron.
