Thanks for video. Haven’t heard his name much during OTAs or Preseason practices so far, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. He looks capable, knows how to wrap up when tackling, and even shot the gap one time. Nice. Def a developmental guy that could push for playing time down the road.

I know he’s a rookie, but I’d love to see his ‘play recognition’ improve. Exp- when a RB or WR runs a quick route, turns, and sits down.. he needs to be blazing towards that player to eliminate that player as an option for the opposing QB. Jackson seems to know his assessments (which is great for a rookie)and doesn’t seem scared stick his nose in on a tackle. Yet, we don’t need another LB that boast about his tackling stats AFTER the opponent catches the ball (I.e.-Jaylon Smith).

He gets a pass bc of his rookie status, but he has to get better… mainly recognizing the play as it unfolds. That should come with more experience, but I’m sure that’s what many other potential LBers thought too. Wishing you luck Mr Jackson.

He was a little slow to diagnose IMO, you'd like him to plant his foot and go just that little bit quicker but it was an encouraging start. Could be a keeper at the bottom of the roster.

Good prospect to develop , we dont have good backups at LB spot.

We literally have two former pro-bowl veterans that were 1st round picks as backups.

LVE is a backup ?

It's debatable I suppose because Micah plays a bit of a hybrid role often playing edge while LVE plays both WILL and MIKE. But I would have our starting lineup with three safeties with Parsons as MIKE and Kearse in a hybrid role. That technically would put LVE as a backup. In reality, he is probably a rotation player that sees 60% of snaps assuming he beats out Barr/Cox, that's likely gonna be on par with Wilson and Lewis.

Jackson deserves more exposure, judging from that video! He'll surely get it, as long as he stays as active as it seems. Me likey. :flagwave:

For a rookie to get into as many plays as he does, it's more than encouraging for his future, from the way he doesn't hesitate to attack.

I imagine that with more experience, he'll surely become even quicker to react to what's developing from the opposing offenses. Nice!

Meh.. you’d like to see a bit more anticipation. But he’s a sure tackler which we always have a place for.
SMH at the Sam Williams penalty. I can only think that’s a sign of things to come.

Maybe the 3rd time is the charm. The other two Jacksons didn't work out.
