“To put those two gigantic brands together on the most-watched day of the regular season in the NFL, it’s gonna set records,” Nantz said, as transcribed by Reice Shipley of Awful Announcing. “That’s not what I’m out for it to do. I just hope it’s a great football game. It will be a wonderful matchup to call on Thanksgiving. KC at Dallas, it’s the game we wanted. We wanted KC and Buffalo, also. I think those are the headlines on our schedule.”
“I think, and I have spoken with people at the NFL as well when the schedule came out, I think the Chiefs-Cowboys could be the most-watched game that you have ever called in a regular season,” Eisen said.

lol...not sure Jerry likes this, but, then again, win or lose, he will make tons of money...that he can't take with him when the time comes.

I would think that season opener on Thursday night would set records first.
Yeah. The Thanksgiving game will likely depend on how the teams are doing at the time. First game of the season, everyone is full of hope and anticipation, so they'll watch because it kicks off the season with the Super Bowl champ and the team everyone either loves or hates.

But I'm sure Nantz was just talking about for CBS.

The Dallas Cowboys are hosting the Chiefs in Week 13 on Thanksgiving Day. Nantz called the teams “two of the biggest brands right now in the NFL” and said he expects that game to set viewership records.
Way to go out on a limb there Nantz.

Big deal another Cowboy nationally televised game against one of the NFL's super teams and I expert to see another fired up Cowboy get it's turkey dinner shoved down their throats by a team that is far superior than they are.

If that’s to be the case Dallas better get some help from the refs the way the Raiders did a few years ago to keep the TVs on.

But seriously, there’s no way to know what’s going to be what by then. In fact how many times do the stand alone games look great at first but by the time you get there they are crap? That the reason the flex thing exists.

Key word is "could" similar to maybe, and its possible lol.
Who cares about viewer records?? I dont, the ratings are all estimated lol.
They dont know how many actually watch a tv show.

At this point, it can always be a Cinderella season. Keep the faith Amigos
