Looks like the Dolphins are getting a start on clearing cap space.
Figure a general NFL release thread is worthy?

Miami has released Brandon Alberts(LT), Mario Williams(DE) and Earl Mitchell(DT)

None of those guys really interest me. Albert is a solid LT, but his issue is health. Williams was outplayed by Branch and Earl Mitchell was a disappointment coming from a 3-4 team.

I think he would be an upgrade over Free if he still wants to play and play for a reasonable contract. He could also be an emergency left tackle.
