Leagues 1 and 2 D

Both lost.
So do you want a great offense or a great defense?
There’s always exceptions but usually you need a great defense that can disrupt the QB, make stops , create turnovers and or an elite QB.

We had 3 of the top 4 defenses and best QB in final four.

A great offense in today's game will always beat a great defense.

You have to be able to score points to keep up.
That's not completely true. Look what Seattle and Denver has done with defense. You have to have a great defense but an offense that isn't inept.

You control the clock on offense by running and have a stout defense you win

Well that's just demonstrably untrue. Yikes what a bad post.

Not really worth dissecting further

There's more to it than simply "Great offense vs. great defense." Home field matters a lot too. The 2015 Broncos had a great defense and noodle-armed Peyton at QB but they still were able to beat the Patriots. A big part of that was because they played in Denver. If today's games were played in Jacksonville and Minneapolis, I'd say the results could have been different and those great defenses would have looked great.
