This is like the NFL, money to be made, and no competition.

The trouble is that it's refined to such a point that it lacks... something.

But yeah, your point about no competition is accurate.

LOL!

Well yeah.

Maybe they don't give a toss. But all this "producing" and "prepping" actually makes today's product appear even less real.

That producer stuff, especially on the segments where the guys talk, is one of the biggest issues with why wrestling isn't as entertaining as it could be.

The best guys in the world were the guys who can talk your *** into the seat with their mic ability and they did it without someone telling them what to say or what to talk about.

Always wondered if Nash in WCW during the NWO days was winging it when he'd grabbed the mic, leaned on the ropes and just started talking to the camera.....

I admit I actually enjoyed those segments.

I've only watched a few shows but you can tell those shows are slickly produced. I suppose they have to be.

What would they do if one of their bigger guys just winged it? Fire him?

Report: Stephanie McMahon Furious About Raw Script Leak?

In a story that garnered a great deal of attention from sites likeCageside Seats, ProWrestling.net, PWInsider and Wrestling Inc., the script for the April 14 edition of Monday Night Raw leaked online.

The script made for some compelling reading, sure. Insights into the WWE creative process usually are intriguing.

But ultimately, there were no huge revelations.

CM Punk and AJ Lee, both of whom are absent right now, are apparently listed as "Injured/TBD." Regardless of his new babyface tendencies, Cesaro is still technically listed as a heel. The Miz and Summer Rae are off programming until mid-May filming future Oscar-winner The Marine 4: Moving Target for WWE Studios.

See? This is hardly earth-shattering stuff.

Despite this, though, it appears the leak has ruffled the feathers of some higher-ups in WWE, most notably Stephanie McMahon.

In this week's (subscribers-only) F4W Newsletter, Bryan Alvarez mentions how irate the executive was over the exposed script: "Stephanie McMahon was not happy with the Raw script leaking online last week, to the point she was described as 'mad enough that she could beat Ronda Rousey in a UFC fight.'"

I'd bet money that he did. That's what made their stuff so much more entertaining.
