Just got an alert on my phone, Leary was activated from PUP list and will practice today.

I have doubts that he can jump back to the first team now. We'll see though. Terrible time to be injured in his career.

He'll be fine. He was a beast on running plays last year, we can use his girth again this year.

Yes, he went from potential, to starter and became solid. I expect to see that progress continue.

It's the first week of training camp. It's the next best time after the off-season to be injured. Being injured closer to the regular season would be much worse.

Amazing what competition and depth can do.

Two years ago, he'd have sat out until a week before the opener.

I suspect Leary will heal quickly. Why? Because the guys out there now are doing well (Mack, Martin, et al.). Funny how one has a tendency to heal quickly when their job is in jeopardy.:)

OXNARD, Calif. -- Left guard Ronald Leary was taken off the physically unable to perform list Thursday morning and could be a full participant in practice as soon as Saturday.

Leary went through the morning walkthrough, working with the second-team offense, and will take part in individual drills during the Thursday afternoon practice. Head coach Jason Garrett said Leary, who strained his hamstring during the player-organized conditioning run before training camp, would then be evaluated to determine whether he is ready to do team drills after the off day.

Being injured when you're competiting against someone else for a starting position is not great for your career.

Leary is a beast in the running game. Gave up a little too much pressure in pass pro; but overall did a heck of a job for a first time starter last year. I think the Cowboys would rather see Leary start since Mackenzy Bernadeau is seen as the three spot (LG, C, RG) backup on gamedays.

Simple on the offensive line, start your best five, period.

I think Leary is not quite as good as Bernie but is more consistent; always Bernie's weakness. So overall I would rather Leary started.
