Least Favorite Starting Cowboy

If you project the current roster's likely starters, who is your least favorite Cowboy? Fortunately, this question stems the flood of "Corey Proctors", since he is NOT a starter.

Anyway, I may be in the definite minority but I have to say Martellus Bennett is mine (hey, he starts in 2 TE sets). The guys' seeming lack of caring rubs me the wrong way. I definitely could just be a stick in the mud, but I get the wrong vibe from Marty B.

I hate to say he is my least favorite but Flo gets me hollering at the TV with his jumping offside’s. As for Bennett he is just a young kid who is enjoying himself. As long as he is staying out of trouble and doing what is asked of him I have no real issue with him at this time.

Patrick Crayton. Someone needs to staple his big mouth shut. He is worse than Brandon Jacobs when it comes to talk vs. substance.

You are probably going to get a lot of Marcus Spears haters, i'll bet everyone hates him the most out of the starters, but my least favorite is probably Flozell because he can't remember the ****** snap count. He may be good, but that is the first thing you learn in football and the easiest to get right.

I don't hate Crayton or anything, but he would probably be my least favorite starter.

I don't like his mouth -- especially for a guy who's accomplished as little as he has.

I still harbor a lot of resentment for that drop (and then the route he quit on) in the playoff game against the Giants... those two plays will continue to haunt me until the Cowboys finally win a playoff game or two.

And then I just absolutely hate to see him back there returning (or fair catching, to be more accurate) punts. It's difficult for me to believe that we can't dig up someone better than him for that job.

Funny, I agree with you on both counts. While I'm not sure we can replace him in the draft with out having a 1st round pick, Flozell is definitely the one player I'd like to see replaced before the 09 season.

As far as Martellus Bennett, I can see why he might irritate the old schoolers, being so far removed from what's like to be young. And what's worse, is Marty B is young with money. As far as his contribution, I think he will be a great tandem with Witten, who is still only 26. If we can keep them together, it could be the best duo of TE's the NFL has ever seen.

Yeah, Flo was my second choice. I guess I give him a pass for being deaf in the right ear for all of those dang false starts. We have a drinking game at the house...everyone has to chug a beer whenever Flo has a penalty.

Maybe that's why I like him better as well...

I'm old school heck been a Cowboy fan since 65 but I don't have a problem with a guy having fun playing this game. Bennett is a bit immature but as long as he is doing what the team asks of him and stays out of trouble I have no issue with him clowning around from time to time

I don't like Patrick Crayton (for an average WR he needs to shut up) he's a good slot receiver but hopefully Austin can take over for him as a number 2 and Greg Ellis (for an aging pass rushing OLB that also needs to shut up hopefully Spencer is ready to take over as the starter too. Flozell is on his last legs but I think he has one more year left in him.

Honestly, I am pretty pleased with our starters. What worries me is our depth at WR, NT, OL, LB & DB. Here's to good health in 09.
