I just finished watching the Giants game, and I am very impressed with the job Torrin Tucker did subbing for the injured Flozell Adams. Rarely was Tucker's guy even in on the play, let alone flat out beating Tucker. He made a couple of mistakes in the Red Zone, but coming in "cold" off the bench, a mistake is not uncommon. Besides, I can't name one "O" lineman who wasn't called for at least one or more penalties in the game. The Giants' too. I think the heat had something to do with all the mental errors.

I was shocked when BP let Vollers go instead of Tucker, but now I see why he's the coach & I'm not. I see no reason to shake up the line. Either bring Shannon Snell up from the PS, or find a reliable sub on the wire, but don't try anything elaborate like moving Allen over or any of that nonsense. Allen just can't move like he used to when he played OT some 10-12 years ago. Leave Tucker in, he's doing a great job.

How can you be impressed with Tucker's play? Two bone head plays in the redzone forced us from a possible TD to a FG.

More of that kind of play and we're in trouble.

Eddie, who would you rather have there? Sorry, Ogden and Pace already have contracts with other teams.

Dallas is going to feel the brunt of salary cap here.

We have significant salary cap left

Enough to bring in a bonafide NFL left tackle significantly better than Tucker?

No.

That is why Dallas went with Ethan Brooks.

I was dreaming that the Cowboys would make a trade for Bryant McKinnie. Then I woke up.

Tucker has the ability but he cant wiff on plays at LT it could cost us the game. I think he will be ok. If he isnt we will make needed changes.

Not to say there's an upgrade over Tucker. We're going to have to live with who we have.

But don't delude yourselves and pretend to be IMPRESSED with Tucker's play last Sunday. It was far from even being average.

He's what we have. We'll live with it. But let's leave the tickets to fantasyland in the theme park.

Eddie, I edited the post for further posts like yours. As I put, you can't name me one offensive lineman who didn't commit one or more fouls during that game. Both teams were kicking the ball around & committing penalties like it was pee-wee football. I do believe the heat had something to do with it. But, as I said, Tucker wasn't the Lone Ranger when it came to penalties. At least his man didn't pressure Bledsoe into an errant throw that would have gone for a TD....Rivera.

Give the guy a break....he was tossed in there at a new position.

You want to talk about bone head plays.........what about Al Johnson's penalty wiping out Witten's TD. How about Keyshawn's penalty nullifying his TD in the Raider's game. Or Flo's holding penalty that would have iced the Commanders late in the game.

They all make bone headed plays, but you know what, Tucker is who we got, you either support him or you don't. I am hoping for the best, and I think that Tucker will be up to the challenge.

I can't believe some in here who want to throw in the towel because Adams got hurt. This is the team we got plain and simple. There are no Jonathan Ogden's sitting at home that can come in and replace Adams.

So quit your crying and support the team or be careful jumping off the bandwagon, you don't want to sprain an ankle or twist a knee.

Cogan ... no doubt on Rivera. He's yet to earn his money.

But I'm afraid we're going to really feel the difference from an average Flo to a sub-par Tucker.

I'm hoping against hope ... but life in the NFL is harsh, and reality has a way of waking us up.

If we win this game, it'll be all the sweeter!!!

Well said, add in LA to holding penalties in a row against Philly, I think.

How could you possibly come to any conclusion about a player after watching ONE game???

My premice of Tuckers ability is off of THREE YEARS, and his last impression of penalties in pre-season.

His physical ability is not in question! He mentally makes TOOOOOOOOOOO many mistakes...period.

I think he fared pretty well considering the situation. When we tried this kind of thing in the past, it would be just a disaster. That certainly wasn't the case on Sunday.

Flo is above average whether you like it or not. Tucker is sub par because of the mental mistakes, but he has the ability to be average at least. But you know what?

I'd take Torrin Tucker over Jeff Backus.

I am not sure how anyone can be sure what we have in Tucker this year.

This is his third year, he did well enough in camp and the pre season for them to keep him as the only other Tackle.

It looked like he was in trouble when he reported over weight, he lost the weight and he did enough in camp and the pre season to be the only back up tackle on the roster.

Let's give him a full week of practice and at least a game, before we right him off.

He started 1 game as a rookie, 13 in his second year which was a mixed bag. Some good games and some terrible games as the season wore on.

Is it not a possibility he has matured in his 3rd year?
