do you have a tent to go with that ego? :laugh2:

My 91 year old grandmother would whip him on the court. The only thing that reminds him of himself concerning LeBron is the fact that he is a heel. :laugh2:

There isn't much he can do to win over haters.

He made a major mistake with The Decision and everything was downhill from there.

His major sin, though, is that he isn't Michael Jordan. Most in the media over-hyped James as the next Jordan. James isn't. And so now most in the media are punishing James for not being Jordan.

The put-him-up-on-the-pedestal,-just-to-knock-him-down trick is a great way to generate viewers, sports radio listeners, and plenty of mock outrage.

If you think The Decision is the only reason people hate the guy you are sadly mistaken. He is, and has always, been a pompous arse. From telling his mother to sit the F down, to marketing himself as KING James, to quitting on his team in the Cavs playoff series, but then leaving the team because he acted like he was too good for them instead of staying to help the city he grew up in win a championship, to the "Decision", to the rock show they had when they announced they had tried to buy a championship in Miami, to announcing they were going to win "not 1, not 2, not 3 championships", etc.. to refusing to shake hands after a playoff series, to disappearing in the 4th quarters of these finals and letting Terry show him up, to mocking the player who was kicking his arse all finals, to crapping on all the NBA fans who are the reason he gets paid like he does, etc etc.. the guy is just a major a hole.

..but you're right, he will never be in Jordan's league. He's not even on Kobe's level.

There's so much mock outrage here that it's mockrageous!

Yes. The media will identify dozens of "the next Jordans" before any one close actually comes along.

Hype and mock outrage draw public interest, so neither will ever be in short supply.

All of this is very clear in retrospect.

But the idea of using one's fame to generate big dollars for charity isn't necessarily a bad one. And the TV show apparently generated millions for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Obviously the idea was very poorly executed (in a number of ways) from a PR perspective.

i think a huge reason people hated the decision decision (?) is because he didnt let anyone know but the Heat before hand. He should have let the cavs know he was signing elsewhere before the show.

When he was making fun of Dirk that was it for me...he's a spoiled brat who needed to be brought down a few pegs. He needs major PR work ASAP.

he is a huge *******, i remember in 07 when he dunked on duncan he had the poster put up on his locker, after the finals when duncan was informed of it, he asked lebron if he wanted him to sign it for him :lmao:

we may not like it but he pretty much told it the way it is.

Told what the way it is?

That most people work for a living and have real concerns in their daily lives?

It's not about whether or not he is accurate, it's about whether or not he need to piss on the general public by reminding them how rich he is and poor they are.

Yeah, go back to their same problems and I'm going to do whatever I want (cause I have unlimited).

He basically said, "your life sucks, mine doesn't. I win".

And why does he throw the fans under the bus? Because his life sucks just as bad. He's a failure in his chosen career path to this point. Before he could be content to sit back and blame everyone else around him for his failures.. now with the "super team" he can't do that anymore. Its all on him. He can go cry into 100 dollar bills all offseason now.. and i'll still be happy with my life. Thanks Le*****. lol

Must be a Lebrick fan or having a difficult time grasping what he said.

I thought that was stupid primarily because Dirk was lighting the Heat up. So if you're making fun of the guy for being ill, and he's still handing you your butt night in and night out, what does that say about you?

The more everyone hates him the more I like him. I guess he just reminds me of myself so much. On the court mostly.

But really you can tell that question hurt him and he went back about as hard as he could. He doesnt like not being liked. And he went to Miami to get titles to try and feel the love asap.

you mean you check out 12 minutes early from games as well?

Awesome.

I don't have a problem with James' comments at the press conference. He could have worded the comments better, but he is an athlete not a politician, and he was dejected and emotional and upset - it would be surprising if he did choose all his words perfectly given the circumstances. Still, I believe all he was trying to say is that being mad at him isn't the real world and the finals are over and everyone has to get back to living their normal lives. Not really such a harsh comment.

Knowing his history, you'll have a hard time convincing anyone that was what he was trying to say and that he wasn't trying to be a duche like he always is.
