You wanna win?

Don't allow a TD pass of more than 20 yards.

That would definitely help. But when a QB throws a deep pass it's usually cuz he has time for that route to develop. If we get pressure (not necessarily sacks) on the QB before those longer routes develop then it greatly increases our chances of stopping the play.

My guess is there is a chance Philly will jump to a 14 or 17 point lead and Parcells will still be trying to run on 1st and 2nd down and pass on 3rd. Run behind Larry Allen every run play.

We will finally start to throw the ball deep in the 4th quarter after we are down by 28 points and Parcells finally pulls his head outta his butt when its to late as usual.

I predict the same old boring play not to lose football that will get us blown out by Philly.

Was that sarcasm, Alex?

I hope you're not implying I see anything worth looking at in that photo.

That neurotic, self-centered narcissist makes me wanna upchuck.

Kinda like that ubiquitous "ripped abs, pumped arms and legs of steel" hateful dufus on the Bowflex commerical.

Ah. So you are someone with conviction, taste and style.

Sorry for the error. :)

Yes.

Coach Parcells is an idiot. He has run on first and second down when behind all year.

We come out conservative and look to play this one as close to the best - we'll have our hearts ripped out by 3 of NFL's top 10 Athlete's - Owens - McNabb - Westbrook(Most underrated player in the NFL) ..they will break our spirits.

This from the guy whose spirit was clearly broken a LONG time ago, judging by the negative posts he keeps cranking out...

But hey, I've been awfully hard on you, Scotty... to compensate, I dedicate the following Hee Haw classic to you:

Gloom, despair and agony on meeee
Deep, dark depression, excessive misereeee
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all
Gloom, despair and agony on meeee....

I'm actually down 20-odd pounds since I got mad at myself back on the 4th of July weekend... got some serious aches and pains to prove it...

I'm also startin' to get some nice definition in my deltoids and trapezius muscles, which I like...

I'm not doin' it for the ladies, nobody wants an old f**t, I'm doin' it because I'm 53, and feel the need to work on the ol' cardiovascular system... this involves some serious time on a rowing machine (hence the development of the aforementioned muscle groups) and a strenuous 3.25 mile walk up and down some SERIOUS hills, in under an hour... I walk 2-3 times a week, hit the rowing machine 3-4 times... I always treat myself to a day off at some point in the week...

I do like being able to cinch the belt up another notch, gotta be honest about that... this is the first time I've been under 200 pounds in over 20 years (I was at 195 tonight)... I figure I'll try to get down another ten pounds, see how I'm doing, and if I don't start feeling weak, might try to gun for 175 by spring... but with the size of my chest, neck, arms and legs, 185 might be good enough... lemme get back to buying 36 inch waist slacks, and I'll be a happy Bear...

Well I'm actually working out for football season (practices start in a month). I wanted to get to 220 by the time the season started (mid February). After a month and a half of working out 3-4 times a week I've lost ZERO lbs. Not a single one. I've even improved my eating habits (not great, but not bad either).

I can definitely see and feel the difference, but the weight is still up there. Even if I've gained muscle it's not helping me cuz I have to lower my weight cuz I got turf toe last year and it still hasn't healed completely. Less weight would mean less pressure on my toe. The only cardio work I've been doing is on the eliptical (sp?) and some on the treadmill. I don't want to jog yet cuz that will make my toe flare up. On thursday I went to the gym and did an hour on the eliptical and burned 975 calories. I figure if I do that 1 or 2 times a week plus my regular workout I should start dropping some weight.

Yeah, if your regimen is more working out than dieting, you're gonna replace some body fat with muscle mass... I actually figure I've dropped closer to 30 pounds of fat, because I can definitely see (and feel) more muscle development in my arms, shoulders and legs)... my calves look like a freakin' bodybuilder's right now, and it's entirely because of walkin' up and down all those hills...

I can definitely see and feel the difference, but the weight is still up there. Even if I've gained muscle it's not helping me cuz I have to lower my weight cuz I got turf toe last year and it still hasn't healed completely. Less weight would mean less pressure on my toe.

You couldn't be more right, man... just with the little weight I've lost so far, my aching knees are bothering me MUCH less...

This was all so much easier when I was young, and a gym rat... spend 3-6 hours a day playing basketball, and you can eat all you want and never gain an ounce when you're bustin' your butt up and down the court... alas, that was back in the days when I had knees (though it was my right ankle that caused the end of my hoops days, I broke it in the same spot the last 3 times I stepped on a basketball court)...

The only cardio work I've been doing is on the eliptical (sp?) and some on the treadmill.

Treadmills just bore the livin' bejesus out of me... that's why I walk, my route takes me up into the woods, it's real pretty out there, especially this time of the year... the walking is my favorite part of my regimen, I get up at 6:30 on my days off and am on the road by sunup... it's quite relaxing, quite invigorating, really sets my day up...

I don't want to jog yet cuz that will make my toe flare up. On thursday I went to the gym and did an hour on the eliptical and burned 975 calories. I figure if I do that 1 or 2 times a week plus my regular workout I should start dropping some weight.

Good luck to ya, bud... in your regimen, and in the upcoming football season...

Thanks, SB. Two years ago we lost by 3 in the Semi-finals (like the NFC CHamp game) in the last 2 minutes of the game. Last year we lost by 4 in the last 2 minutes of the game (divisional playoff). We've only lost 1 game during the regular season in our existance but we keep coming up short in the playoffs (and at the end of the game no less). I'm working hard this year cuz I want to make a bigger impact then I did last season (2 TDs, 2 two pt conversions). I don't think I'll touch the ball more (I'm a FB) but I'll be playing some DL in passing situations this year. My goal is 15 sacks, but we'll see how it goes. I already told coach only to put me in when they're obviously gonna pass cuz I'm not gonna play the run. :D

Yeah, I remember you saying you were a FB... sounds like your team has some talent, but doesn't your season start awfully late in the year?? How many games do y'all play before your playoffs??

Yeah we start at that time cuz if we started during the "normal" football season no one would go to our games cuz we'd be competing with all the high school teams (7) here.

We have a 12 game season, although 2 games got forfeited last year.

- Philly will be flying...they love Dallas ...they love the turf...they crave the spotlight.

We need to come out firing...Throwing deep..Trick plays - more than one, and Roy Williams needs to create the most havoc of his NFL career.

Our season is on the line folks. - And if you see us running dump offs underneath early and often - shut yer sets off and take the Honey out for a nice Sunday Dinner because it'll be all over before it even begins.

This has been a reading from the Book of Scott.
"We need to come out firing...Throwing deep"
