Leon Lett interview

They interviewed Lett on 103.5 The Fan this morning. I think it was after the walk-thru. He was asked about Josh Brent and said Brent is very strong and his nickname in camp is "Beast Mode" or something like that.

What was interesting though was the Leon brought up Lissemore (sp) and raved about how hard he worked among other things. Near the end of the interview he brought up Lissemore again without being asked about him. Lett was really impressed with Sean.

Lett also said that it's true what everyone is saying about Smith. That if he gets his hands on you; shut it down because you're done.

If anyone has a podcast of this you may want to put it up. I tried to find it on their web site, but couldn't.

I prefer Manster but whatever. It's just a nickname.

The point I really want to make is that Brent needs to stay low coming off the snap and not get so high. Multiple times last week I heard about him coming up to soon and losing leverage. He might be strong as an oz but he needs to use proper technique.

I recall Lett being real shy, pretty much media/personal gunshy. Kinda nice to see him out coaching and giving interviews, etc.

Leon Lett is one of those what if stories. What if he had been able to stay away from the nose candy? What if he had channeled all that he squandered into playing his game? I think he would be either in the HOF or a serious contender.

Haha I was just in Emporia, Kansas 2 weeks ago and I talked about how Dallas drafted their now most famous Football player.

Good old Leon Lett; if that guy had stayed of the hippie lettuce he could ended up in the HOF
