PFT is reporting the Jets are now moving onto talks with Leonhard.

For those that wanted him.

Sry if re-post.

Jerry.. feel free to utilize this whole "free agency period" to upgrade the roster.

Just because you don't want to make a big splash does not mean you should be napping right now. Get on your job you un-fireable GM.

Seems like we are looking at QB and CB, so I fail to see how he is napping on the job or is he just not signing the players you want to huge contracts right now?

There are still good players out there to be picked up...we usually wait until there is only slop left and then try and have it stuffed down our throats that the player we do pick was the best out there!!!

No, not at all. If the Roy Williams to be released rumors are true then we need a safety in the worst way.

I do want to hear that we are bringing in or talking to mid level football players (like Jim Leonhard) who will help this team.

If the difference between missing the playoffs last year and winning the Superbowl next year is only Kyle Boller and Shawn Springs then I'll admit I'm wrong.

We don't have to spend big money or overpay to be active in free agency. There are (affordable)football players out there that can help this team.

two ways to approach free agency in the NFL:

Agreessive and bargain hunters.

Those who are aggressive will jump on it from the minute midnight hits Thursday night. They tend to get the best and/or most expensive talent, most often, overpaying for it.

The bargain hunters will wait and let the market euphoria to quiet down and sift through what's left to find what they need, not necessarily what they want. Those tend to overpay too, but not by much.

The Cowboys are bargain hunters this year, as they should be.

Forget Leonhard; I am still trying to decide if it would be worth it to offer Landry a contract and eat a 5th rounder. Kneck injuries are nothing to sneeze at and the fact that the Ravens have tendered him so little gives pause.

Maybe Leonhard is asking for too much money.

Maybe we were interested in him, but he wasn't in us.

Maybe we don't view him as an upgrade over what we have and would rather draft someone.

So because we haven't signed anyone, Jerry must be napping. Or perhaps because you haven't stumbled across the "l337" rumors, he must be napping.

I have an idea.

Make another video.

:laugh1: WOW. He would be worth that for his special teams play alone.
