Les Miles has balls

I guess, but some of these decisions aren't smart. He's just getting lucky.

This is a GREAT ballgame, though. Looks like maybe the two best teams in the country to me.

I sitll don't agree with Les Miles's call to go for it on 4th and 1 from the 7.

The kicker may have missed two field goals, but this is only 5 yards away from an extra point. I think you have to kick the field goal in that situation.

and the game would be going into overtime..........

i think you play the percentages. even though the kicker missed twice, those were from farther away. from the 7, it's pretty much a gimme.

it's not like lsu was playing Duke or something, and 4th and 1 doesn't mean much. lsu were stopped before in the game by florida on 3rd and 1. florida has an athletic front, and this 4th and 1 was really close.

les miles should go and hit the blackjack tables tonight

when your kicker has already missed 2 in such a pressure filled situation and then you want to trust him with even MORE pressure to make the kick- its a hard choice.

All the gambles paid off for Miles because he, above anyone else, understands the strengths AND weaknesses of his own players. For goodness sakes, it's not the first time Miles has gone for it on 4th down THIS season and converted. Still, it's not like he doesn't play it safe sometimes, punts and/or kicks a field goal when needed. Let's just say that he made all the right decisions even though they seemed very risky to those who don't know Miles and his team very well.

i still think they were dumb decisions and if he keeps it up they will come back and bite him in the rear end later on.

I agree.

I guess I'm just too used to the NFL game.
