My HS and college years coincided with his career. I was glued to the cowboys game every Sunday and Monday.
That run against the Patriots was....I think my sophomore year in college. It was always standing room only in the TV room at my dorm.

I was born in 92, so I never had the chance to watch him, other than on classic videos. From what I have seen, it must have been a treat to watch him running live.

One of the best runners after planting his foot. Plant. Great acceleration in that direction. Plant. Same speed OR FASTER in another direction. Always going north to south though. TD for a TD.

Exactly. That is why when Vaughn is able to do it 2 or 3 cuts in a row and not lose speed is so impressive .

TD was the man.....i'll never forget that 99 1/2 yard run he made against the Vikings on national TV. The Cowboys with only 10 men on the field even. And the best screens with Roger. Brought great memories.

A Buddy Of mine played against him in college. He was LB for Penn State. Tony was my All Time favorite. I'm love me some Emmitt, but Tony is my favorite Back.

Yup I even liked him better than Sweetness and that's saying something!

I consider myself very fortunately to have seen TD play his entire career. On TV and in person he was must see when on the field.

When the Cowboys traded for him I was so jacked up and thought he could help the Cowboys in a super bowl. He did that and ended up in the HOF. What an awesome ride it was to watch those triplets. Just like the 90's triplets it felt like they could win every game.

I remember like it was yesterday sitting in my 70 Z28 Camaro listening to AM radio when they drafted Tony dorsett knowing that now Rodger had what he needed to win another super bowl

I believe he is the only player to win a Heisman Trophy and a National Championship in his senior year in college and a Superbowl in his first year in the NFL.

I noticed that too. Great blocker. He doesn't go 99 yards if not for a crucial block by Drew Pearson that took out two Viking defenders.

There was only 10 players on offense at the time also.
