I’m only supportive of Garrett because of the limitations with Jerry and looking for realistic solutions .So because people don’t think Garrett is the right man for the job, you want a plan laid out for you like we can predict the future and know what will occur?
Step one in the process of finding a new coach is identifying the need to start the process by firing the current coach.
I know that is difficult to accept because you are a big Garrett supporter, so let’s change the situation.
Let’s suppose Jerry is selling the team. Who is going to buy the team? Does that person even want to buy an NFL team? What type of owner will he be? Will he take a hands off approach or meddle like Jerry? Will he allow the coaches to hire their own staff? Will he have children that will occupy jobs in the front office?
Pulling names of rich people and creating a scenario in your head of what might happen won’t change the fact you want Jerry out as owner. We might get a worse owner than Jerry but you’re willing to take that risk, aren’t you?
Others feel the same about Garrett and creating an imaginary future plan doesn’t change that fact. Plus, lists have been created in the past for you on the old board with names like David Shaw, Jimbo Fisher, and Dabo Sweeny. It has been a worthless exercise.
I’ve maintained for years I’d fire Garrett if Jerry was going to change his ways.
It’s worthless excercise if those aren’t realistic possibilities.
