Roger Clemens used to love pitching when he had his B- stuff …. He loved the battle ..

Mike McCarthy has to impress upon the Cowboys that it’s every man up next- man up football time.

A great coach gets creative here he gets Balsey… He calls a fake extra point like we did against New England, - he throws in a flea flicker - he’s got a punt block ready to go.

And he realizes that Prescott needs to throw the ball 50 times to win this game.
Spread the rock around get daring, dig in embrace the injuries and go win the game.

I’m not overly impressed by Pittsburgh at all - we should win this football game.

You left out one thing.
It's the one thing that costs us game after game, it's called discipline. I have no doubt with the couple extra days they've probably thrown in some plays, hopefully, to get Dak out of the pocket.
Sadly, at this point I don't feel the team believes in themselves, and I don't think they truly trust or believe in mccarthy.
I don't think the transition from Quinn to Zimmer is going well. Quinn is a motivator m, Zimmer is a disciplinarian, which I would have loved 20 years ago. but the only way to get a bunch of millionaires to play hard. Is to motivate them.

Hoping for the best, but I'll be on a cruise ship so give me $50 on the hard 8.:flagwave:

You should be impressed by their defense.

Optimistic fan! That's they way to enjoy the game. I think we win this too. They started hot, we started slow....I don't make excuses for wins or losses, just saddle up for the next game. Many fans quit before the game even started, but they'll be there watching, pounding the keyboard reminded everyone how bad their favorite team is. Go Cowboys!

Did he also love pitching with his D game???

Maybe Zimmer, or some coach on defense, can actually coach.

The run defense *execution* was completely turned around from the Ravens to the Giants game. Things got *fixed*. Most of the fail against the Ravens was *verifiably* execution.

and the fact that Henry is 9 times better than the Giants running back

Have you wondered why a Dak led team is so bad in the playoffs and against better competition? It's because opposing defenses know that if you put the ball in Daks hand they have a much better chance of winning. If Dak is throwing the ball 50 times they are getting their butts kicked. He can't carry the team.

Your not overly impressed with Pitt, but you ARE impressed with our team?

You DO know we have sucked big time this year, correct?

P.s. this thread should probably be merged with tomorrow's "Game Day Menu" thread, due to the dishes some of you gasbags eat every week.

McCarthy's game plan seems to be centered on not stopping the run, not being able to run, committing too many penalties and if we someohow are in a close game be just completely inept with any important time management decisions. Oh, and hope our kicker keeps making 60 yard FGs. Other than that I'm with you...

At least we are looking better than your Eagles. Losing 8 of 11 is just disgusting. I still can't believe that collapse last year. Maybe the most embarrassing collapse in NFL history. Starting 10-1 and then losing 6 out of 7 and having non-stop locker room drama like pre-schoolers, blowing up your coaching staff and then finally realizing the biggest problems are the HC and the QB who can't throw

MY Eagles? I think you have me mistaken for someone else.

I'm a Cowboys fan. IT SAYS IT RIGHT IN MY NAME!!! IS YE IGNANT?

That's some of it, but not the majority of it.

I watched people reviewing the run defense on both games. The Ravens game players just weren't minding their gaps. Against the Giants, they were.

Good point, they've looked that way in most of their games well ravens game and the saints game

..this will be a game Dallas can build grit on. MIght be see-saw battle back n forth.

Perhaps, Aubrey seals the deal, Dallas prevails.
