He is easily replaceable. Do NOT spend money trying to bring this clown back. Go after a more seasoned speedy WR that can more reliably catch in space away from his body. Don't go chasing after this clown.

Let the body snatcher gooooo!

I don't think we have to worry about the Cowboys re-signing him. I'd be both shocked and disappointed if they did, especially at the "$6 - $8 million a year discussed in this article. That's ridiculous for the guy who ranked 97th in the league.

I think they're actively looking for a replacement.

Williams gets a little too much hate from fans. Aim that stuff towards guys like Crawford, Lawrence, etc

I don't "hate" Williams, but I see him for what he is. The 97th ranked receiver in the league for 2016, and this team's 4th or 5th option in the passing game. It would make no sense whatsoever to pay that guy $6 - $8 million a year. And I would "hate" to see the Cowboys make that mistake.

I agree with that. All the nickname calling and whatnot is weak though. He brought it every game and was almost always available. Not to mention he showed up huge vs Detroit and Green Bay in 2014.

He is what he is...I wish him well on his journey to another team. I hope some other team pays him 8mil to reduce their cap.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program please...

Twill is a good player. His problem when it comes to re signing here is how much worse off is the team when he is not in the line up? I dont believe the offense misses a beat without him.

When you have Dez, Beasley, Zeke and Witten it is not wise to invest 5 or 6 million a year in a player who is not dynamic. He doesn't bring an element to our offense that is difficult to replace. Imho.

I really hope if we are going to spend that kind of money on a potential 3rd or 4th target that we bring in someone who can legitimately stretch the field or have the ability to step in and be a WR1 if Dez is out. Britt for example has the tools and ability. Desean could stretch the field and keep defenses honest. Patterson also adds that element and would instantly upgrade the return game and the jet sweep. Otherwise save your cap and draft someone.

Its not a slight on Twilly, he has been good, just not good enough for a second contract.

TWill is a good player for us. Despite being a "body catcher" he has a very high catch rate per target.

He is not going to have gaudy numbers when you have a balanced offense that features Dez Bryant and an passing game that emphasizes the underneath routes with Beas/Witten.

He's not a number one receiver and shouldn't be paid like one but he does have some value on this team. Williams could be the classic case of you never know what you have till it's gone.

Yeah I don't get the hate either. He was a 3rd round pick and 3rd option at receiver. He made some great plays last year. I don't get the Williams hate but then again there's always that one guy fans throw their hate too. Just not sure why it's T Will. He's not a underachiever or a head case.

It's certainly not TWill on the Cowboys... I would set Romo & Free way above him.
