Why would we draft Luke Kuechly?

I don't even have the energy but I'm sure a half dozen people if not more will be break it down for you as this thread continues.

We run a 3-4 with 1 starter returning. Kuechly is one of the safest picks in the draft and the top ILB. You figure it out.

I love Luke Kuechly as a prospect and would love to draft him so you don't have to sell me on him as a prospect. We have invested alot in ILB over the past 2 years (2 2nd round picks) as well as picking up a good player in Connor in the free agency period. To be honest I would like if we drafted Kuechly as I subscribe to the belief you can never have too many good ILBs in a 3-4, but don't see it as possible.

Doug Martin would really shock me.

Kuechly wouldn't surprise me, nor would Hightower. Not since Jerry blabbed about the Niners LBs.

Trent Richardson. Nobody is talking about him but Jerry said something interesting the other day. He said that the Cowboys would not hesitate to take a player at a position that was stacked if the player was a difference maker and he also said that the Cowboys would not hesitate to move up to take a player like that if they felt like that player was starting to slide within reach.

Richardson might be the #1 player on the Cowboys board. I don't see this happening but you never know.

After listening to Jerry talk about making mistakes in the first round due to misjudging character, motor, and off-field issues, I agree with Kuechly. DeCastro and Cox might be the only guys that even approach Kuechly when it comes to what Garrett refers to as "makeup".

We are all wrong, shocked by the Cowboys pick, we have all be sucked!

Whats the one player we have not talked much about you could say has the most probability of being picked.

Getting away from Cox, Barron, DeCastro, Brockers, Poe and Glenn.

My choice, Luke Kuechly.

I have a sneaking suspicion our first pick is going to be McClellin. I got a feeling.

Also, nobody's mentioned Gilmore yet.

Could it be because he's a really good player?

Could it be that you need three good ILBs and we only have one?

McClellin. Don't leave him out.

I could see Gilmore. I think he has way more upside then Claiborne and its a position of need. I could see that.

taking a Reiff if he is there would be a suprise...noone has linked him to us. would fool all of us.

I know everybody's got their pet cats and pet theories but, honestly, the number of guys who could wind up being our first pick is in double digits.

Nothing wrong with that.

I also like trading down for Konz. Or maybe Chandler Jones.
