Elliott is playing great and the OL seems to be better; however, our run game is like bringing a knife to a gunfight. Scoring in the low 20's isn't going to get it done.

The reality is that the Cowboys have beaten two 2nd tier non playoff teams with losing records that are pretty evenly matched with them as the scores would indicate. And it is great to put two wins back to back and away at that; however, this team is not a tier 1 team.

Luckily, you don’t need to be a tier 1 team on November 19th to have a chance. Look at the giants twice, the ravens, etc. just in the last decade.

However, if the defense keeps playing like it has been, and the OL keeps creating running lanes for Zeke who is an absolute stud.

Then the team still might have a chance.

I get what you are saying. As I was watching the game yesterday, I felt the offense looked better, but it is boring and predictable. I suppose if they had converted both times in the redzone, I would feel differently. I am a bit more optimistic than last week, but I am not convinced we have gotten that much better.

It’s obvious the cowboys miss Dez in the redzone.

Not to make this a Dez thread. But clearly our coaches don’t know what to call, without having a guy like Dez who can outmuscle and outjump a defender for a touchdown.

Missing Witten also hurts.

Anyone who thinks they're more than the 5-5 team they are today hasn't been paying attention. They should still be 6-5 soon, I see just about no scenarios where they beat the Saints though.

Tier 2 simply means Dallas was able to beat two teams that suck about as bad as they do.

Left about 5 points on the field so it should've been 27-19 but honestly, this team has to learn how to score 30+ on the road or none of this will matter.

Agree completely but here is the thing. Nobody is going to blow us out. Even if it did happen it's not going to happen consistently.

We just play a brand of football that is really a coin flip regardless of who we play.

There is almost no margin for error with this team because of the lack of explosive plays.

Agreed, although I believe it is due to vanilla play calling more than an inept amount of talent on field. Our offensive game plan every week is to run the same offensive game plan every week. Predictably keeps the other teams in game. Romo was able to overcome this due to his insane game knowledge, and knack for extending plays with his scrambling. (Not a knock on Dak, they're just different players, and Dak doesn't have guys like Parcells etc to help improve his mental game)

so many things wrong with the Offense,the QB should not be taking so many sacks.Dak needs to throw the ball if there is nobody open,he has taken back breaking sacks this season.with even a top 20 QB we are 7-3.with a top 10 QB we are 8- 2 at the worst.the QB problem wont go away this year or the next.

Let me get the calculator......ok 4 points from The Bease plus 1 from Maher = 5 points.

So add those 5 points to 22 and you get 27. Funny how that works isn't it?

Other teams do make mistakes also. You don't get to just add the 5 that we made mistakes on. I think it just shows our offense is a bit below the average.
