Let's beat a dead horse

Lets beat a dead horse. No. I'm not talking about Dez (although that is a really fun horse to beat). I'm talking we haven't been to the Super Bowl since 1995.

I'm actually going to "put that horse down" as I believe this year is a year we could threaten to get there and win it. If so people will be talking dynasty with this young team.

I think we have a good chance. What say you?

If the cowboys win the SB the world will be on suicide watch. People freakin hate us.

Our weak link, the coaching staff, is still pretty much intact. Talent-wise we're getting younger and maybe better & deeper. If we have no serious suspensions and few serious injuries, maybe, maybe, we can make the play-offs. That's as hopeful as I can get.

I believe we are heading in the right direction. All we need is this team to play as one, much like Witten described in his retirement speech.

And for Gods sake,is it too much to ask for a young safety and 1 tech?

No. Dez getting cut and witten retiring will be enough. Garrett will bask in the glory.

JG couldn't get it done with Romo, DWare, Dez and Witt in their prime. Only thing Garrett will bask in is his one playoff win in 7 years.

Like a career, focus on doing as much as possible to make yourself as good as possible and the opportunity will come.

Some people just focus on their career goals like a lottery ticket and never actually make themselves the best employee possible.

You sound like you are reading the same cheap motivational self-help books JG is reading.

If the Cowboys continue to use sound management practices they will be in the position to compete every year. It's a lot bette than goingbfir broke every year thinking you are one player away every year and falling short.

That's why I'm not a fan of trading for ET. It falls back into the same old familiar trap.

It's getting there. We are turning the corner. Better overall team depth than we have ever had since Garrett took over.

People said Dez wouldn't be cut. Wrong.
People said Witten would play this year. Wrong.
People say that Garrett will never win a a SB. We'll see about that one. Say what you want about him but he is getting better every year. With Dez and Witten gone he will shine a lot more.

Drinking early today?

It's the JG fanbois you should be worried about.

Nope. Not worried about them. They are a very reasonable group.

The Dez Fan Bois are like a bunch of vicious crows. They all attack but much like Jerry they aren't even sure why!!

Still beating that dead horse I see.

Who remembers our 1-15 team? That was basically the same team that won the SB in '92. We added Emmitt Smith and Darren Woodson. My point is the difference is leaership at a few key positions and we can be unstoppable. You just have to believe. I can believe because I've seen it before. I believe that we can win!.

I say the Cowboys missed great opportunities in 2014 and 16. I say they've got as much talent now as then, more so on defense. I say it's more enjoyable anticipating what the team has a realistic chance of achieving, then griping about what it hasn't. GO COWBOYS!

I like what we did with our draft and FA but I have learned that predictions now are next to worthless. We need to see how players develop and mesh over the next several months. The players started last month. We don't even have a preseason for 3 more. That is when we will see.

That is why I like to do my fuzzy thoughts because that is when development becomes manifest for us fans.

1989 we had a good Defence but used to run out of steam in games.

I haven't started a season thinking SB in a long time.I do think wins but expectations are what causes melt downs.
We better then middle of the road. I want to see how Connor handles his business. That tells me a lot.
