Let's do a FA Signing Message Board Pool!

Here's the Rules:

Pick the FA's that you believe Dallas will sign and the order they will be signed:

10 points for correct player signed in the order he was signed.

8 points for the correct player signed, but wrong order.

5 points for correct position and order signed, but wrong player.

3 points for correct position signed, but wrong player and order.

TIEBREAKER: Name Washington's first free agent signed.

NOTE: Free Agent must have played for another team last season.


EXAMPLE OF HOW THIS WORKS: Let's say I predict the following players to be signed by Dallas and the order they'll go in:

1. LeCharles Bentley OG/C
2. Adam Vinatieri Kicker
3. Brandon Lloyd WR
4. Lavar Arrington, LB

But, let's say the Cowboys actually sign the following in this order:

1. Lecharles Bentley, OG/C
2. Lavar Arrington, LB
3. Antwaan Randle El, WR
4. Ryan Longwell, K
5. Jerrard Sowell. FB

In this case, I would get

In this scenario, I would get 26 points. I got Bentley correct. I got Arrington, but just the wrong order. I got a WR and the order correct but had Lloyd instead of Randle El. I got kicker correct, but had the wrong order and had Vinatieri instead of Longwell. And I get 0 points for Sowell since I didn't select him.

You're going to need to specify the number of FA contestants can pick, or state results as a fraction of points/pick if you want meaningful results. If you do the latter, though, it will encourage people not to get too creative with their selections.

If TO doesn't sign with us the second FA signing begins, I don't think he signs right away with anyone. Then after a week or so I think Bill & Jerry pull someone completely unexpected out of left field on us- Robinson or Walker are my early thoughts, leaning towards Robinson. I say Bill positively responds to the much-noted turnaround Robinson has shown this last year. He fits.

Oh and that first signing will be one of Big Bill taking the first punch and bloody'n Little Bill's nose. This one could end in the Super Bowl.
