Let's face it, we're handicapped by our coaching

Garrett may be a good motivator, but any time we face a good Xs and Os type of coach, we're at a huge disadvantage. Guys like Sean Payton and Bill Belichick have decades of coaching experience and know both sides of the ball. Garrett really offers nothing strategically, except for his clapping.

I expect growing pains from Kellen Moore, but this is the reason why you don't hand the reigns to a guy with basically no experience. Kellen Moore, like Garrett before him, had very little coaching experience before Jerry gave him the keys to the offense. Sean McVay was a coach for 6 years before becoming the OC of the Skins.

I just didn't see this type of gameplan for 3 weeks and then suddenly we're in Linehan mode.

I think this was forced on Kellen this week. Of course i'm speculating but Sunday night looked like Garrett got involved. Probably had his ego hurt after the first 3 weeks and wanted to stick out his chest and tell everyone that we're going to use the gameplan that worked a year ago.

IT just makes no sense that the playcaller we saw for 3 weeks would decide that we're just going to cram it up the middle over and over when it's not producing.

I think the Saints D forced the Cowboys hand with the playcalling. There were also two critical and few other mistakes made by the players that could have made a big difference. They need to get it together for the Packers, because they are coming for redemption as well.

To be fair, and to play devil's advocate, I think people are really overlooking those two key fumbles. We knew this game was going to be hard fought, Brees or without Brees, because of this environment and the Saints being salty about the way things played out last season. We cannot cough up the football twice when we are moving the chains and in their territory. And for that to come from our most experienced player and our most important player is kind of an anomaly.

Dennis Allen had his defense balling on all three levels and that's really all there is to it. Onto GB.

It was obvious their plan wasn’t working well before halftime yet no adjustments were made. They kept doing the same thing over and over. I can’t imagine Moore didn’t see it which leaves me wondering why they did not try other options.

I realize the fumbles were game changers but it doesn’t absolve the fact that this was the same mundane game plan we are used to seeing.

It's clear as day the play-calling changed up. Whether it was Garrett influencing things, playcalling was a huge part of this loss. The Saints had a record of being tough against the run and after a couple of times of finding that it didn't work, we kept doing it over and over? Yes, that's a HUGE disadvantage. It's like even Madden players can figure out that you attack a defense against ITS WEAKNESS, not it's strength. If you try to beat a similarly or even slightly less talented team by going at it's strength, you're going to lose, which is what we saw against the Saints.

At least we have direct evidence of just how bad the playcalling has been for the past few years. We better see that creativity back for the next game. I'd rather lose with creativity than conservatism.

The Saints D was forcing us to pass.. We still ran...

Read this article - it wasn’t coaching, it was OL simply getting beat.

As much as I will blame Garrett for everything wrong with the world, we lost the game mainly due to mistakes and lack of execution. On to Green Bay...

That makes no sense. When your OL can't pass block you want MORE play action, not less. It's alternating between running at the D's fat rolls on 1st down and trying to convert 3rd and longs passing that kill you when the pass blocking doesn't hold up.

Bad OL means you need MORE misdirection and play fakes, not fewer fakes and more predictability.

Saints weren’t respecting play action and those are longer developing plays. When you can’t hold up on basic pass plays, it’s even riskier with play action.

When you play the 50/50 brand of football then it forces everything to be perfect and you can blame individuals like Olineman.

The fact is that the Saints pass defense is terrible and running into their front 7 over and over was stupid.

Of course our Olineman were going to get beat. That is the Saints strength and we had our 90's mindset Sunday night that we can just run on anyone cause we're the big bad Dallas Cowboys.

They ran themselves into a loss because they played 50/50 ball and made just enough mistakes to cost them the game.

They stacked the box against us it is suppose to apply all the pressure on the O line in hopes to force the QB to make pressure throws. What we did was hand the ball to the RB and direct him right into it.
Actually they didn’t stack the box. They played with 6 in the box and the OL couldn’t block them.

I think I've told you this before but I love your Sig Pic. That little beagle pic is too much. That little puppy is cute, that is all.....................

After the 1st quarter ALL OF US could see that the gameplan was not working.

Does Moore not half half a brain?

He's actually a very smart guy, but I can see how someone who lacks experience could get tunnel vision.

Is he? We've kept hearing for years that the team 'plays hard for Garrett'. Do they really play harder or are they merely professionals simply doing their job for the most part? Its been a garbage excuse for retaining Garrett for years as much as it is now.
