Let's Give the Kicking Game Some ...

We never talk kicking game. We will beat the QB & WR to death. Kicking game is sooo important to BP and it better start getting important to us.

I like Cortez. I didn't understand why BP was trying to replace him. How long has it been (10, 20 years) since we've consistently kicked the ball into the end zone. I'm ecstatic about that alone. We won't know how he does on FGs from 40 to 50 yards out until it counts. I'm happy with him for now ... but I reserve the right to change my mind.

McBriar is my dream come true. Just like the man of my dreams. He does one thing and he does it well .... high and long.

Now on to deep snapper. This is where I get worried. I'll be sitting and watching, biting my bottom lip on every snap. It'll be like watching a 3rd & 7 pass inside the red zone with 1 minute left and down by 4 points. Snapping the ball is sooo important. After watching the Miami v. FL game last night, I'm starting to miss Robinson and Condo hasn't even had a real chance yet.

snap was an adventure.
as for cortez i guess we will just have to wait and see how he
does when it counts for us.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. As BP pointed out, that was the one thing we were good at last year. If the preseason is any indication, another cause for concern. I'm sure we'll get the right guys out there in due time.

I've said before, if Cortez can kick 3,4 or 5 kick-offs into the endzone every game, that will save us 7 points per game. I'll accept two missed field goals a game and keep the extra point.

He also smacked one kick returner which is a positive.

I think those of us who aren't high on Cortez all probably had him in a fantasy league at some point. He's maddeningly inconsistent.

I agree with you re: kickoffs, though. That's a plus we haven't seen in a few years.

WOW not me. Kicking it into the endzone doesn't guarantee us a saved 7 points. Missing 2 field goals however, assures us 6 points WE dont get.
