You didn't get the memo?

We are suppose to be talking about how bad certain individuals are and the future games like the Superbowl and how every team might as well pack it in cause the Pats are Gods.

I must have missed it !!! I could care less.... No one is going to rain on my parade, were playing some nice football. And you know what I'm an optimist. Let me tell you something about those Pats. wouldn't it be great if the went undefeated ( till the SB ) and we beat them in the SB..hmmmmmmmm let me ponder that thought, So what I said it out loud. To the BOYS !!!!

I would love to see that happen!

It has only happened twice in the past (way in the past) and both times to the Chicago Bears...

The Bears won the initial NFL Championship Game in 1933 beating the NY Giants in a close game. In 1934 they went 13-0 and had the NFL's first 1000-yard rusher in Beattie Faethers. They faced the Giants again in the Championship game but the field was a sheet of ice so at halftime, down 10-3, one of the Giants' assistant coaches went to a local college and grabbed a bunch of basketball sneakers and the Giants were able to get traction and went on to win it 30-13.

In 1940 the Bears had beaten the Washington Commanders 73-0 in the Championship game for the worst beating in NFL history! In 1942 the Commanders got a measure of revenge as they ruined the Bears' 11-0 undefeated season by beating them 14-6 in the Championship game.

The only two teams that have gone through a season undefeated AND won the title are the 1948 Cleveland Browns (in the AAFC) who beat the Buffalo Bills 49-7 after going 14-0 in the regular season, and the 1972 Dolphins who also went 14-0 in the regular season but also won 2 playoff games prior to winning the SB against the Commanders 14-7.

I think it would be the sweetest win of all to beat the undefeated Patriots in the SB!

Hey Thumper,
That was a great recap thanks, I remember ( reading about ) the sneaker game with the tennis shoes and the Washington 73-0 game I just didn't know that they were undefeated both times. How great would that be to accomplish that man that would be the cherry onto of this season!

Anyways that's embrace the fact that team is doing all the right things this year

It's hard to believe that with all the success we've had in our history, this is the best start we've ever had.

I mean, 8 Super Bowl appearances, 5 Super Bowl wins, all of Landry's consecutive winnning seasons, the Doomsday defense, Staubach, Aikman, etc.

And with Wade we're off to the best start ever! Quite amazing when you really sit and think about it.

Hey dude. I will be at this game too. I am so friggen pumped that we are 10-1. Every year I can rationalize the reasons we will go 16-0, but I guess 15-1 would be a nice regular season. SB victory would be outstanding. I would love to see the Boys get another crack at the Pats.

Amazing isn't it. I thought the same thing. I think the closest we would have come was in 93 when Emmit missed the first 2 games. But this team is doing really well.
