Let's pair up Tony Romo w/ Norv Turner and bring in the 4-3 D.

I say we pair up Norv Turner with Tony Romo, if possible. That wiuld make a good offense great. And on defense we are better suited to play the 4-3 defense. Carp can play MLB and Ware would be "scarry good" as a 4-3 end. Your thoughts?

No to Norv as HC.

I'd be very happy with a return to the 4-3.

We still need pressure bringers regardless.

Norv would be terrible.

He's proven he cannot get it done as a head coach

I don't mind switching to the 4-3 though

A guy like Rivera would be able to make it work. Ware would be a monster. I mean, look at how Anderson excels in Rivera's defense. Ware would play the same role.

If you guys are willing to convert back to 4-3 then be prepared for a LEARNING PERIOD...

I say keep the 3-4 for now and get a nice CREW of coaches in here.
Just don't waste money like that other low life NFC East team that finished back where it belong. At the bottom. Hahahahaha...

I was very intrigued by Troy Aikman's comments about Norv. Troy said he felt that Norv was very good as a head coach and really was handcuffed by the organizations he did it for. Troy said that if Norv had the freedom to do what he wanted he would have excelled (sorry, I can't provide a link).

That was true for Payton as offensibve coordinator last year; when handcuffed by Parcells, Payton didn't excel, but when given free reign to be the head coach - by an organization that gave him the leaway to do it his way - Payton excelled, ran a great ofense and was a good head coach.

Maybe the same will happen with Norv if given a REAL chance.

Aikman is in love with Turner. He'll say anything to promote him.

It's like asking a son to evaluate a father.

Norv is fine in SF. Let him develop his new Triplets out there.

Norv isnt anywhere near as bad as alot of you are saying...Belichick didnt work out in Cleveland, remember?

Turner would be great for Romo and probably very good for the offense in general...his teams always have good OL play and can run the ball

if he brought the right defensive people with him, Turner would be a good hire

also, had anyone (ie, Jones) had any foresight in 1994, Turner never would have left for Washington and been the HC here instead of Switzer...he'd have a couple of Super Bowl wins to his credit...might even still be the HC here

Norv certainly wasnt handcuffed in DC. He got exactly what he wanted from his shopping list of FAs, and still was mediocre at best.

He wasnt handcuffed in Oakland, he simply didnt evaluate his talent well.

he worked for Dan Snyder and Charlie Casserly...how can you say he wasnt handcuffed? those two guys are terrible

and Turner had nothing to do with picking guys in Oakland
