Lets review the tools our FO has to build a contender

A. FA's from other teams: To put it mildly they stink at it. Its either bargain nobodies or once in a while they will splurge and get burnt

B. Resigning their own guys: They get roasted on every single one. Maybe the Olineman they did well? Everyone else they get taken to the cleaners. There is NO home town discount in Dallas. Dak and Zeke being the two latest and worst examples

C. The draft: This one is a mixed bag. They are great at drafting offense and horrible at drafting defense

D. Trades: This one is so rarely used its hard to judge. I guess we can say its not much of a tool at all.

And if you look at the FO basically getting lucky with Romo and Dak, its a miracle how we even compete.

They have traded more in recent years. Robert Quin being a home run, the little slot wr being a single.

A few other trades...nothing great.

The chickens are coming home to roost.......they better hit a home run in the draft and hope that Quinn sprinkles some magic fairy dust on this defense to make it better. It will largely be the same one from last year. You know the one that was humiliating.
