I've stated repeatedly that if they wanna role with Rico as the main guy I'm fine with it. Let's see what the young man can do. I just don't wanna see him (or Deuce) inside the 20 or in short yardage situations. Wasting a guy we KNOW is really good at that is just not smart coaching.

The major problem with the run game is the O-Line is getting outplayed and when that happens there aren't many lanes to run into.

Frankly I think there is a bit of disconnect between the line coach and the play caller. I don't think we are doing near enough power blocking as we should be given the make up of our line.

Until/unless they make a trade or sign a RB, they need to stop with the Deuce experiment.
Have Rico take the lion share while subbing Zeke in.
Deuce is just not getting it done. He needs a big hole just to make it past the line.

why dont we give Cook's a try? we are past the 2 games of the season so contract is not an issue.

Don’t know why some fans are so excited about Rico. He’s an average back just like the rest of them we have. It’s better to rotate backs and keep them fresh. Giving one back the brunt of the carries is just going to wear them down. Plus, Rico has had some injury issues.

We don’t have better and Dowdle isn’t that good. Zeke and Dowdle‘s numbers are almost identical. They both have rushed for 56 yards and Dowdle has one fewer carry. Zeke has a TD and Dowdle has zero. They’re both averaging under 4.0. If we increase Dowdle’s carries, he’ll end up coming up with an injury and wearing down. The best approach is to rotate backs and keep them fresh. Deuce is nothing but a wasted roster spot they need to bring up Cook. That way they can divide the carries between three backs. They certainly don’t trust Deuce to carry the ball much. He only has five carries for 15 yards.

I think even with personnel change if OL is an issue in run blocking then it’s the scheme , Solari and schottenheime are not getting done , we need a Calahan or Shahnan scheme for run blocking , May be Zack M is really over the hill.

Zeke is a situational player.

Duh.

Dowdle has far more upside even if he isn’t that good.

Zeke is a short yardage back that can do a little bit on passing downs. Nothing more.
