Lets say we go into the bye week 0-3. Jerry Jones decides a change must be made by firing Wade and JG.

Obviously we would no longer have a defense cordinator or an offensive cordinator so those positions would need to be filled as well as the head coaching position.

The usual suspects like Bill Cowher would be called upon to be our next head coach.

I wouldn't mind Bill Cowher as our head coach because he fires up his players and he coaches with passion.

As I was thinking about this last night I thought what if Michael Irvin was made our Interm Head Coach for the remainder of the year, while Jerry Jones went through all of his available options at the end of the season.

Irvin has no coaching experience but he's been around the game long enough to understand what a championship team looks like. He has the energy and the passion to fire players up. If you watched his show on Spike tv 4th and Long then you know what I'm talking about.

Good idea or bad idea?

this thread must be a joke. welcome newbie. feel free to step in from the ledge at any point.
and irvin as the head coach?? You must have been partying with him at the "white house"
cause that is crazy.

Who ever said Irvin want the job, many former player know what is required of them to become a coach which is why so many do not do it. As for firing a HC early in the year I don't think so

He lost one game dear god I hate when people jump off building after one loss

Right now if I could afford to buy a tall building I would invite them over to jump off of mine. :laugh2:

And Bill Bates can be our Defensive Coordinator ....

And Joe can be our ST coach again .....

We are getting the band back together!

They won't lose to Chicago. Probably will to Houston, but not Chicago.

I have a great idea..

What if? Now, work with me here..

What if? Still with me?

Okay

What if, we actually have some FAITH in "our" team to get the job done and cheer them on to win this Sunday? And then, win or lose, still believe they can do this..

I know, I know. It's a pipedream.

So you guys would all rather keep Wade and JG and keep repeating history? Same story different year.

Yes it was one loss. But like I said "what if we are 0-3". Thinking hypithetical here.

Dude IF we tank the season Jerry will clean house, not before that's just not practical...

I'd rather keep Wade and JG because they've shown progress from '08-'09 and know that people and job positions aren't simply plug and play. Simply installing some goon who's been out of football - in mid season no less -, will only lead to a major waste of the talent this team has and the time invested.

I see a very good team that lost to a division rival that always manages to give us trouble, even in our division winning season, so I'm not going to panic over it.

No offense, but hiring Michael Irvin is a horrible idea. Even if Michael wanted the job. Trouble finds him if he doesn't find it first. I love Irvin - he's probably my favorite alltime player other than Staubach - but his personal life is a disaster waiting to happen, and Michael's way too over-emotional to be an effective HC, IMO, even if he did have the managerial ability to do it.

Having said that, yes, the many of them would prefer that Wade/Garrett continue, no matter how the season turns out. They also will tell you that Roy Williams is or wil be a topflight WR, Jerry Jones has already cemented himself as an elite GM, and that they know more football than you do because you dare question the state of the organization.

Don't want Cowher. He has been away from the game too long and who cares about firing players up and coaching with passion. That stuff is overrated with coaches. Just give me a coach that knows strategy and put players in the best position to win and knows how the game is played currently.
