Suggestions?

Here are mine:

1) Spy Wilson ALOT. Seattle goes play action, read option, or designed QB run on a ton of heavy set packages
2) Lots of Cover 3 or Quarters D as base with Church and Durant as Nickel LB's.
3) Scandrick shadows Baldwin
4) Make Wilson have to beat us over the top.
5) bring occasional speed heat on 3rd and 6-10 (Cobra Blitz or Safety)

I hate the use of "spys" because it forces you to use defenses you don't normally use.

I think you're going to see a lot of the same type of defense used against SF... meaning lots of zone.

I hope our LBers our healthy, because if they aren't Seattle will have a field day running the ball on us. I could very easily see Wilson and Lynch combined for 200+ yards on the ground, lets hope that doesn't happen.

I would have Wilson hit as much as possible when they run the option. The key is to stay disciplined on the ends and not get sucked in on fakes. We need to keep Wilson in the pocket as much as possible.

We can't stop everything, but if we can disrupt Wilson from running around like last night, it would take an important element out of their attack.

Outside contain needs to stay put and trust the front line to tackle the ball carrier and prevent Wilson from slipping the ball out of the RB and finding the corner.

Have Ro play enough so he gets a chance to body slam Wilson when he scrambles. If Ro gets ejected, no problem. Let him rest his groin for the upcoming division games.

I want Scandrick blitzing Wilson at least 5 times. He's one of the best blitzing corners I've ever seen and boy, he drops the hammer for a 190lb guy.

Run blitzes, too bad Carter is out I wanted him to spy on Wilson...
