First post here. I've been poking through the threads here and I must confess, "Wow". You would have thought some of the posters around here were on their deathbeds. Listen, we have one game left in this season to show what we're made of. We've got a great chance to man up and take it to the NY Football Giants and take down the NFC and walk home as NFC East Champions. Nothing in the NFL comes easy. When will people seem to learn that? There is parity in the NFL, a lot of it. Don't think so? Just check out the weekly scores at http://www.nfl.com Week in and week out good - wait hold that- Great teams lose games. This is the NFL where on any given week you can be beaten. The Packers in all of their greatness lost a game to the lowly Chiefs. The Patriots? Why, they've been beaten 3 times. The Saints? Oh, they've been beaten 3 times, too. The point is, quit yer crying. The NFL season is a long one, it's a long journey composed of many forks in the road. There is no one clear path to victory and only one team completes the trip. Everyone else? That's right, they're losers too. There is no 2nd place. So I ask you, Gentleman, are you ready to whip the NY Football Giants?

Welcome to CZ Pappy. Great to see another voice added to the mix!

Welcome aboard.

I am as ready to beat the Giants as I was to beat the Eagles last week, or the Cardinals, or the... Ah, never mind.

GO COWBOYS!!!

I say that a lot.

:welcome: and I believe we will win. What good does it do to sit there and say I know we will lose, but to later say I told you so or make yourself feel better if it comes true.

GO COWBOYS! I'll be rooting for you. :suxjints:

I am neither an optimist or a pessimist, but I can see why one would choose either side. The team is talented enough to warrant optimism that we can win against any team we play against. On the other side of the coin, this team has enough pitfalls to warrant pessimism in that we can lose to any team we play against.

More often than not, the Cowboys have let the fans down when it comes to games like these when a statement can be made. Its' not like we have been winning championships year after year and enjoying success, only to suddenly find ourselves struggling to make the playoffs while fans start to jump off the bandwagon. The truth is, we have been struggling for quite some time now and the Cowboys of the past 15+ years have given doubters and pessimist every reason to feel the way they do.

Would any of us love to be a three loss team or a one loss team at this point in the season? I'm sure most would answer, "Yes." But the truth of the matter is that we are a 7 loss team in a situation where if we win, we are in the playoffs with a slightly above average 9-7, but lose and we go home with an average 8-8 record.

With that said, we should beat the Giants this week and I think that we will, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the team collapse.

Oh, and :welcome:
