Let's talk about the Dolphins

Dolphins aren't a bad team. They are the kind of team that could beat anybody (including the Patriots) and it wouldn't surprise anybody.

I favor the Cowboys but worry about the effects of Romo's rustiness.

They are notorious for several things so far this year. Slow starts and you can run on them.

Dolphins cannot play eight in the box now that Romo is back. Regardless if he is rusty. The threat is there. So Dallas should be able to run. Then they get into a lot of 3rd an 2 or 3 like last year and Romo converts those at a high rate. Ball Control

Defense sits on the bench more and gets rested up. Same formula as last year.

It will be good to see Hardy McFadden and Romo playing together for really the first time all year. Bet Williams and Beasley want to prove something to.

If I'm Dan Campbell and the Dolphins, I'm blitzing Romo early and often, especially right up the middle because I think Garrett and Linehan will be conservative with their play calling this week trying to protect Romo from taking another big hit...

Hopefully we get things sorted out this week because one mistake and we're done 8 days from now against the Panthers.

well what do expect their team name is dolphins and they are a coastal franchise? what colors would you use to reference aquatic subject matter?

I'm talking about their current scheme, the updated logo is trash. Original was much better

As a fan of both teams, I'm going to be in a tough rooting dilemma this Sunday.

Anyways, their offensive line isn't good, and Tannehill has the pocket awareness of Hellen Keller. Miller to me is overrated by outside fanbases. When he has a lane, he can do damage. However, the oline struggles to open lanes consistently and he struggles to hit 3.0 some games. He's a run forward, hope for the best type of back. IMO Ajayi might be the bigger threat.
Their receivers consistent of Matthews, who has blossomed this year(ufa-probablu let walk) and Landry who is a sure handed guy who isn't easy to bring down. Stills is their stretch guy but has not been utilized much. Tannehill still struggles with the deep pass and instead relies on the short and medium passing game.
Defensively, Free won't have nightmares on going up against Wake and Smith should keep Vernon in check. Suh has been a let down but still requires a double team. Their linebackers are trash outside of Jenkins. Secondary is average at best outside of Jones, who has been a ballhawk since Campbell took over. Iirc Grimes hasn't been much of a playmaker this year.

With Romo, this can be a winnable game. If we can keep their run game in check, not hard to do, they go one dimensional which leads to a bunch of stalled drives. Tannehill can run but hasn't left the pocket as much from what I can recall. Definitely need to expose their linebackers like Misi and Shepherd. If Jenkins is out, that'll be a big loss for them, even with their udfa doing well in his presence.

I dont think they're that good. Not a top 10 team that's for sure but they're ok.

Their gm is similar to old Jerry who thought a couple of big name signings can mask all the weaknesses that the team has. Their gm has changed consistently over the years which changes the ideology of the team. For some reason Ross likes to be kept in the football room making dumb decisions over and over. Last year they had a good draft and this off season they hired that ex jets gm who some think is the true gm now. So instead of addressing their weaknesses in the draft. They draft a wr and dt, two low needed positions and fail to address key spots.
Other words, I doubt they could ever beat the Pats anytime soon. BB always exploits their weaknesses every year. They are a team that is stuck in mediocre land due to an ignorant owner wanting to make big splash moves

How about not naming your team after the LEAST intimidating creature in the ocean? They might as well be the Miami Starfish.

well it was a different time period in the 60s. a time where a dolphin as a team name would make perfect sense. nowadays it probably works against you so you have to settle for names like panthers or jaquars.
