Lets talk Falcons

at the end of the season this will be the game that we wished we would've won if we don't because this is, in all liklihood, a wildcard playoff game. Losing will put us behind the 8-ball the rest of the season.

Yep, this game is about as important as a division game.

After watching the game tonight, Atl doesn't scare me at all. White and Jenkins are pretty good but they just don't seem like a very explosive offense. We should be able to blitz and get after Ryan and if Flo can regain form the offense should move the ball. I feel good heading into next week.

Tony G will most likely have his way with us over the middle, other than that. We'll be ok.

Ask any falcons fan, they are terrifed when teams pass on them. They are horrible in coverage. I think Tony can have a big game this weekend.

We just need to play football, without making mental mistakes. Let the boys play.

This will be a very good football game... Atlanta can run the ball, their backs are very good. Dallas run defense better bring their lunch pales.

Turner had 30 yds rushing today and is averaging 3.7 yds per carry and averaging 70 yrds per game this year. Norwood hurt his leg today.

Rushing attack is not what we should be worried about. Ryan ,White and Gonzalez are what we should worry about.

i would put jenkins on white. i don't trust newman anymore.

Why not? I think he plays best when he's goes 1-on-1 with the other team's best WR. He did another great job on Steve Smith (CAR).

Wait. You trust Jenkins over Newman? Are you new to the Cowboys? Newman has been the better player this year and its not even a contest.

Put constant pressure on Ryan. Protect against the blitz adjustments - Ryan is good at hitting the receivers short under pressure. Hit the Atl receivers at the line to break up the timing.

On offense, protect Romo. Keep the penalties to a minimum. Limit turnovers - Chicago went up and down the field, but turned it over on TOs and downs three times in the red zone.

The Falcons run to set up the pass, if Dallas can stop the run game then it will make it easier on the defense. Turner is still one of top running backs in the NFL.

I have to admit, I'm a lot more encouraged about our chances after seeing that game last night. Maybe I've just caught the Falcons at their best when I happen to have seen them the last year and a half, because I thought they'd look better than that. Ryan has looked like Peyton Manning when I've seen him... Last night, not so much.

I do think our D is a bad matchup against their O. We try to sack the QB at the expense of our secondary, and Ryan simply doesn't get sacked.

Then again, that was true of Eli last year, and we rang up eight against them. So I guess it's possible if we're on. I'm really hoping that Demarcus has gotten healed up somewhat over the bye week, because I don't believe he's been healthy.

I still think our O needs to outscore them somewhat, especially if Jerry has the stadium in dome mode. And I think they can do that. Atlanta's D is good but not great. As always, Romo has to keep the turnovers down because most likely Ryan won't throw the ball away.

I think it's a very even matchup, but hopefully coming off a bye week and our home crowd will give us the edge.

I think dallas will win but wont be easy. 27-20 will be the score. roddy white and turner is the only people we really need to stop

I think that Jenkins is a better matchup for the big physical WRs. Newman has problems getting muscled off the line so he plays off them. When he does that, he gives up a lot of short stuff. That means, easy 2nd and 5s etc. If you match him with the quicker WRs, he usually does a heck of a job on them. I like him a lot when it's quick on quick. I like Newman on White more then I do on Jenkins.

falcons defense look fierce in redzone... our offense has trouble turning long drives into points. Disadvantage us.

I think this game all depends on Romo. Our d won't give up 100+ rushing and our cbs will do decent against a great group.. saying they'll probably put up 17-21 on us. Like an earlier poster said, I think we'll blitz a lot and leave our secondary to answer. If Romo can put it together we're going to barely walk away with this one.

We need to contain Ryan. I feel we can shut down Turner but if they stick with it he will eventually break one. Some teams abandon the run to their own demise so we'll see. Right now I'm concerned about stopping Roddy White and the pass attack with deer in head lights pat watkins back there. Good Romo better come out of the bye or it's gonna be a long season. So many factors to consider...
I'd worry moe about Gonzalez than White.
