Let's talk Nugent

He started off shaky but pulled it together the rest of the way. Tough weather conditions for sure...

Agreed. Kickoffs seemed a little short but the ones that were short we covered well and even got a fumble recovery. That was nice. I love getting turnovers like that. Makes me happy.

His kickoffs were good. Had great hangtime on some of those kicks that allowed the coverage team to get down there and make the play. Also had good accuracy on the kickoffs.

Also was impressed with how he bounced back after the first kick.

First, kicking in those conditions is tough for any kicker. I thought he did a good job today and for most part did better than expected with the weather. I feel pretty comfortable having him kick under 45 yards. Over 50 in 4th and short situations though we may be best going for it.

He did what I expected. I had high expectations going in. I figured everything under 40 would be money. Everything longer than that would be a concern. Then you see the weather conditions....and you have no idea what to think. He did great today. You can't replace Bailey but this is about as good as you will get.

I still think it's cool he is from the In-Laws hometown and I actually got to see him kick in high school.

Back then everyone was saying he was good enough to kick in the NFL.

He was a teammate of Green Bay LB A. J. Hawk.

Good thing is now we don't have to rush Bailey back. Let him heal completely.

Without him, we'd be closer to 3-4. Hopefully someone takes him for a good steak after the game.

Was impressed how he rebounded after that first miss, Tough conditions, and first game kicking in quite some time.

FO did a good job bringing him in. Dude played very well all things considered.
