Yes he had the int but he also completely blew a coverage and let cruz go for a long TD and then couldn't keep cruz from going through him to score again. He didn't seem to be much help over the top when the CB handed his guy off to him either. I can't help but think that cruz doesn't get in if wilcox is standing in the same spot as allen. Those of you with the all 22 package will have to give a better analysis of how he did.

hard to say who is at fault there.. ultimately someone needs to call a timeout if there's confusion on a 3rd down and the offense is in obvious 2 minute drill

Will Allen sucks

Bottom line.

If it was Wilcox as you said, if he does get in, he get's separated from the ball. Worst case, he really gets smacked up to the point he learns not to leave his feet vs us/thinks twice.

Confusion was everyone thought it was 3rd down and short (including the guys with the markers) except the refs who hurriedly put the ball down for Eli to keep the hurry up offense instead of measuring and letting the 2 minute warning happen. Kiffin didn't know the down and distance and never got a play out to Lee in time.

The interception was a gift, so I won't really get into that.

The "blown" coverage that keeps being laid on him has already been discussed to death. The entire defense was in a state of confusion. Sean Lee was still barking out calls when the ball was snapped. Unless I have missed it, no blamed has been assigned by coaches so based on the all around confusion there is really no way to know what happened there. It looked like a case of week one to me though.

The touchdown where he, "couldn't keep Cruz from going through him" was 1) a perfectly thrown ball by Eli. No one gets to that and 2) Debatable as to whether is was a catch or not, due largely to the hit from Allen.

As far as Allen's up top support, he was responsible for the outer 1/3 to his side of the field for the majority of the game. If you will recall correctly, there was very little action to the deep outside, which would be his area. Almost all of the action was to the middle and deep middle of the field which would place the responsibility squarely on the shoulders of our LBers.

I absolutely get what people see in Wilcox, but this is nothing more than a case of the grass is greener.
