Dear Jerry,

I've been a Cowboy fan for 25+ years, and I've witnessed three world championships (the other two I was too young to remember, the first Cowboys may have been the day I was conceived). The ones I can remember were the ones on your watch.

You've done alot for this organization, building a superb new home for the 'Boys, clearly attempting to field a competitive football team each year- and there have been some hard times, true. You've made some questionable personnel decisions, you've irritated fans, you've insisted on remaining GM and truth be told, you have every right to.

I believe you turn 70 next year and have begun the turning the keys over to Stephen to run the organization soon. I would like you to do one thing before you do, and that is do NOT stop being yourself, especially now.

None of us are on this earth for long, next year is next year and we don't know for absolute certainty we will see tomorrow. I like this current batch of Dallas Cowboys- Romo, Witten, James, Ware, Spears, FJones, Bryant- I like them alot. Underachieving? Somewhat. Talented? Definitely. I think with Jason in place we will get more heart out of this team than we know.

We are closer than people think. This is the one time if I were to meet you face to face, I would advise you to be yourself and trust your instincts and to hell with everyone, the salary cap, the media- everyone. With Romo, Ware, Witten, Austin etc in place for years, we WILL be competitive cash strapped or not.

Asomugha is a terrific, skilled athlete and extremely high character. He IS a difference making football player. He is healthy, and I see alot of Charles Woodson in him- a smart player that can transition and be tremendous even when his physical abilities start to wane.

Jerry- if you want Nnamdi, go get Nnamdi. Let's worry about next year next year.

Thank you for posting this.

I am certain it will push this deal to happen.

You can feel proud that you were directly responsible.

you're welcome ********

Not these again....seriously...open letters. Do you really think Jerry gives a **** what you think?

Talk to us...no need for an open letter to management

Is Jerry posting under an alias? Embarrassing either way.

Dear Jerry Jones,

Please continue to be yourself. Mis-evaluate and overpay mediocre players. Blow draft picks by the bushel. Over shadow your head coach's authority with his players. Strap this team down with more dead money so we can't possibly bring in any good FA's.

Thank you for 15 years with a single playoff win.

Eddie

If this were labeled "Dear Dan Snyder" it would make more sense

Just curious but if all he ever does is mis-evaluate and overpay mediocre players then why do you care if this team has too much dead money to bring in anymore FA?

According to you they'd never be good anyway.

That's the one bright light at the end of the tunnel.

Dear Mr. Jones,

Thank you for the three Super Bowl wins you brought us.

That's three more wins than fourteen teams. That's fourteen teams fans that wish they could witness just one win. Two other teams won three SB's in the same time period since he owned the Cowboys and that's San Francisco and New England but SF was already a winning team by then. Make no mistake, I like the way Kraft works but the only thing that matters at the end of the season is who won. So, even with the argument about NE doing it right, they still only have three wins.

So, cry me a river with all this complaining about Mis-evaluating and overpaying mediocre players and blown draft picks.

That's all he's done since Jimmy's players left. Jerry's a godawful wannabe who has wasted a decade and a half trying to play GM
