Life Without Internet?

Recently moved and just got service at my new house.

It took all of 13 days to hook me up. Partly AT&T's fault as they screwed up my address on the service order.

Anyway. For those 2 weeks, I was using my jailbroken iPhone to connect my computer to the net.

I gotta tell ya right now that life without internet would be dreadful. That is seriously as close as I ever want to come.

It sucked. I'm a huge XBOX Live guy and not being able to BS while play some games is torture. Its almost not worth playing a game if you can't sit there and chat with your friends.

What do you guys think. Could you make it without internet?

I was going stir crazy. Nuts, right? Of course it was only made worse by the fact that my new place didn't have cable hooked up so I had to wait on that.

Never have I been so bored.

Right now I'm living life without TV. We have no cable so all I have is the internet and my DVD collection.

I think I'll take TV by a nose.

I'm only without it two weeks out of every year, when I go home to see the folks. After the first 24 hours, I hardly miss it.

Well, there goes my sex life. :laugh2:

Someone had to say and I was counting on bbgun, but he let me down.

Anyway, TV or internet, sometime I wish both would go away for a while...

You can get practically everything that is on TV on the internet a day later and sometimes minutes after the show is done.

I'll have to go with internet.

Back to the topic; I could live with it but it would be pretty tough to not be so connected to all the news, all my friends, etc. It keeps me sane.

I could never manage without the Internet. Personally, I'd be going through withdrawals. Professionally, I'd have to find a new job - no thanks!

Internetz 4 lyfe, yo.

I dunno. Maybe there's something wrong with me, but....I look forward to going to my cabin and going fishing and chilling with no TV/internet/phone or even cell phone. I miss this place and that is it.

What about just computers, much less the Internet?

Ahhh...the good old days.

Wouldn't bother me. It would just motivate me to spend more time outdoors. I'd miss using it as a research resource though.
