huh I thought limiting any teams big plays in any game that would be key tell me something I don't know let's get down into things like little things that can win the game and the little things that can lose the game

a lot of games like last week it was a death by 1000 cuts,,,, when you run the ball 49 times there wasn't any really big chunk plays, they just basically just took it to us like a truck stuck in the mud no matter how much you Rev the gears you just get deeper and deeper in a rut..

I think you give young Bland a chance to step up with the coverage on this guy. I don’t think Gilmore has the speed for it. Bland only burned by Seattle because that dude was freaking huge, Tyreek is 5‘10” and more of a burner. Better matchup for Bland. Would really help to have a healthy Hook out there this week to support them.

I think hopefully they deploy a strategy where they use maybe bland and a safety to double tyreek so you can have the underneath stuff covered no matter what you don't go for the double move let the safety handle over the top and then have Gilmore follow around waddle all game...

MIA isn't going to need "big" plays to win the ball game. Just a ton of "little" ones. Running plays.
And yet somehow ten other teams this year have got it wrong they didn't beat us a Miami hasn't beaten the team technically we go by the dumb rule it's now and not when you play them they haven't been a single team with a winning record and we have one of the best in the league...hmmmm

It doesn't matter if the Cowboys lose this game, so long as the Eagles lose a game to the Giants, the Cowbosy are divisioin champions if they defeat the other two teams.

We can’t depend on the gnats to win, we have to take care of business against better teams or will be more they can’t beat good teams away from TX.

Limiting the big plays?

They are averaging over 5 yards a carry on the ground.

Their rushing attack could control the clock without a single big play.

Indeed, they did.

I would not expect MIA to make the same mistake. DAL cannot stop the run. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it until proven wrong.

What do you do with safety play in this case?

Cheat up to stop the run at the expense of over the top help? Split the difference?

The offense probably needs to win this game while getting just enough out of the defense.

For sure… no matter what… Going to need to score. We need to give our D some credit, they have stepped up before in last 2 years after some down games and everyone doubting them, but yeah, probably not smart to be counting on them. Dak will get plenty of chances to show he deserves any MVP Trophy next 2 games.

And put Micah at lb on early downs. He has speed to counter the rb's speed. And you can still blitz him up the a gaps. When we put him on the edge, teams either just run right at him or put 2 blockers on him. They get away with the hold because there are 2 blockers and the threat is eliminated for the most part. Much harder to do that imo if you blitz him up the middle.

We better tackle a lot better than we did last week or Miami will be visiting the endzone a lot. If we get down by a couple of scores, the route will be on. If we win the toss I’m taking the ball. We need to jump on them early. We can’t afford to get behind early. The Cowboys playing behind on the road has been a death sentence.

I hate how we lost to the Bills, not so much for the actual loss as much as the entire team just mailing it in way too early.
It was the defeatist attitude that was most disturbing to me.

The lack of fight is discouraging. Once we get down by a couple of scores we fold. The writing is on the wall for how this season will end.
