The lack of fight is discouraging. Once we get down by a couple of scores we fold. The writing is on the wall for how this season will end.
Maybe, we shall see.

What do you do with safety play in this case?

Cheat up to stop the run at the expense of over the top help? Split the difference?

The offense probably needs to win this game while getting just enough out of the defense.
Stop the run and short passes.

If Reek is healthy, just accept that you are going to give up plays to him & try to limit everyone else. If they can limit the dolphins run game, they have a chance. If they can't, big plays will come both on the ground & in the air for the dolphins.

The Dallas secondary is allowing 150.9 net passing yards per game on the road in 2023, second in the league. The Dolphins offense is averaging 285.1 passing yards per game at Hard Rock Stadium, the third-highest passing offense at home this season.

STATS AND STUFF: The Cowboys have lost consecutive games just once in what will be the third consecutive playoff season under coach Mike McCarthy. While Dallas has a 3-4 road record against its 7-0 home mark, one of the victories away from AT&T Stadium came at the Los Angeles Chargers (20-17) the week after the Cowboys were blown out in San Francisco (42-10). … The home/road splits are stark for Dallas. The Cowboys essentially have the best offense in the NFL at home. On the road, it’s middle of the pack or worse. … Prescott needs two touchdown passes for his third season with at least 30. Tony Romo, the only other Dallas QB to reach that mark, had four. … Cowboys RB Tony Pollard had his first career 100-yard game against Miami (103 yards with a touchdown) in the third game of his rookie season in 2019. … WR CeeDee Lamb is the first player in franchise history with multiple 100-catch seasons. He has 103 after getting 107 last season. Lamb is eight catches shy of Michael Irvin’s franchise record from 1995, the most recent of the club’s five Super Bowl-winning seasons. Lamb is third in the NFL in yards receiving with 1,306 and needs 54 for a career high. He has an NFL-best six-game streak with at least one touchdown after getting a rushing TD against the Bills. … Pass-rushing star Micah Parsons has seven sacks in seven road games this season. ... The Dolphins will again have a chance to prove themselves against tough competition when they face the Cowboys. Miami has not beaten a team that entered the matchup with a winning record. All but one of its losses have been to teams above .500. ... Miami can clinch its second straight playoff berth with a win Sunday. ... The Dolphins right now are one of two NFL teams (Kansas City) who have winning records in the past four seasons. Buffalo and Pittsburgh can join them if they finish with a winning mark. ... Tua Tagovailoa needs just 79 passing yards to become the third Dolphins quarterback to pass for 4,000 yards in a season, joining Dan Marino and Ryan Tannehill. ... RB Raheem Mostert is 34 rushing yards away from becoming Miami’s 1,000-yard rusher since Jay Ajayi in 2016. Mostert would be the second-oldest player in NFL history to have a 1,000-yard season. ... LB Bradley Chubb was the AFC defensive player of the week after getting three sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Chubb leads the Dolphins with 9 1/2 sacks and leads the NFL with six forced fumbles.

Indeed, they did.

I would not expect MIA to make the same mistake. DAL cannot stop the run. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it until proven wrong.
Alright this alleged blueprint that's not really there because here's the blueprint,

last week catch the Cowboys after playing two tough games in a row to beat Seattle and Philadelphia to gain first place in the NFC East, get ten of them with the stomach flu, five of them getting over the stomach flu, and having some important players not only come in injured but get injured during the game.. HMM then have it on the road..

Yep that's the blueprint, you're going to get that every single week, no dude, get over it this is how the NFL works it's a week to week league if it was a blueprint we be out of the playoffs and not in!!

literally you think that the rest of the league have idiots that don't make up game plans correctly and what you don't understand is a week to week league, they caught us off guard, they caught us at a bad time and this is how it happens sometimes.... There is no such thing as momentum and blueprints and all this other nonsense that fans like to talk about because if it was true even like last year we beat the hell out of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the next week we didn't play that well against the 49ers..

it is a week to week league things happen within a game the only momentum that's real is that day that game within that 60 minutes is how things unfold in this game got out of the control snowballed and it was over in 8 minutes in...

I disagree. Its limiting the running game. You can bet they watched the film of what Buffalo did to us running and Miami runs the ball very well anyway. If we limit the running, the rest is easier. We gotta score early, get a lead, limit the run, chew clock when we have the ball.

I don’t know about Miami’s OL , but I’d just run it against us. We have undersized linebackers.
Unfortunately, this seems to be the truth. They run the ball against us they win simple as that as much as it pains me to say that. I really hope we can score early and often and make them throw the ball.
